Just spoke with a Bass Pro rep who said the Black Friday deals were in store only.

I had done a little research on this before because I too would like one. The artisan series are the ones that have the tilt head while the professional series has the telescoping head. In general, from those I have talked to who have a KA prefer the telescoping head but I don't think I would care either way. The thing to consider would be cabinet space. If you will be using it on a counter with overhead cabinets, will they get in the way??? I don't know the answer to this but is a concern I came up with

Just to give everyone a quick heads up. I stopped by our local store to poke around. There were signs plastered everywhere stating "up to 20% off most items". Upon looking around I wasn't impressed. After speaking with an associate I was told that the discounts (which were posted above each section) were off of the original manufacturers price, not allready discounted items. The only exception to this was to clearenced DVD's and video games. I did find that a few things were still very good deals such as XBOX 360 systems at 10% off the list price which puts the premium system at $315. They were selling out of these deals very quickly. Other than this the deals were not good. I was also told that there would not be any additional discounts off of floor or open box models. Lastly this employee told me that the sales would last for 8 weeks but from I have read on the internet,it will most likely only last a week or two into January. From what I have read on the net this initial round will last about two weeks and then they will increase their discounts. And I almost forgot, cell phones are 20% off without service contract, not bad.

Brad, I have used your site for a few years now but have never once posted. It is sad it has taken something like this to get me to do so, but I am now SUPER PISSED:mad: . Seems to me that WM's legal department is bored and is trying to find something to do. I have never thought their specials were anything to write home about, but have always gone there for a few of the smalled kids items. This is pushing more towards TRU and saying goodbye to WM's cheap knock off specials. I too vote for an email system that says hose off to Wal-Mart. Let me know if these items are "accidently" leaked on someones MySpace account or something of the likes. Corey
