  1. I think they know their customer. Their customers would rather be out doing an outdoor activity than shopping anyway. My husband is one of them he hates shopping in general especially crowds when shopping. So it appeals to people like him.

  2. I have seen fights over the cheap kids pjs. The toys at our store are always crazy. I don't know about other locations but they put our toys all in the produce department. I got mad 2 years ago because the employees were telling everyone not to put anything in their cart until the sale starts but the new crowd does not listen at all and as soon as the employee leaves people grab them. If you want anything you need to be standing right by it when the sale starts. Last year I skipped the Thursday evening sale and went out Friday morning. I got everything I wanted because the extras were put back by then. No crowd I was in and out in 20 minutes.

  3. I went to Walmart and got combo basketball, golf, t-ball little tikes set, $6 jeans, pjs, and a couple of games. I actually liked 8PM much better than 10PM last year. The shoppers and employees were happier. I only waited in line for 15 mins once I got all my stuff. It took longer since I had a huge box and had to use a cart this year. But overall once the sale started I was out by 8:30. I went yesterday morning at 8 AM to Sears for boots Aeropostle for clothes. I got everything I wanted. The people and employees were pleasant. It was a good black thursday/friday for me!
  4. We tell them if it is something Santa can't make then parents have to give money to Santa to help pay for the expensive item. It is just not in my budget to buy something that expensive for all of them. It also helps explain how some people get more and some people get less.
  5. I actually have a good Walmart experience to share. Last year I went with my MIL she took one area and I took another. I was buy the childrens sets of running pants and jackets. They were not covered with plastic. The employees told us we could touch them if we wanted but not to put them in the cart yet. We all selected the items we wanted and placed them in front of us. We then did the same thing for the people scattered behind us. We all picked a area and had the sizes and colors we wanted ready for 5AM. As soon as the store announced it was time, we all took our items and left happy. :)
