  1. I think they know their customer. Their customers would rather be out doing an outdoor activity than shopping anyway. My husband is one of them he hates shopping in general especially crowds when shopping. So it appeals to people like him.
  2. I went out last year at 7 and got most of what I wanted. There were not many lines. It was pretty peaceful and nice.
  3. I have seen fights over the cheap kids pjs. The toys at our store are always crazy. I don't know about other locations but they put our toys all in the produce department. I got mad 2 years ago because the employees were telling everyone not to put anything in their cart until the sale starts but the new crowd does not listen at all and as soon as the employee leaves people grab them. If you want anything you need to be standing right by it when the sale starts. Last year I skipped the Thursday evening sale and went out Friday morning. I got everything I wanted because the extras were put back by then. No crowd I was in and out in 20 minutes.
  4. My DD 9 had a birthday in September and she wanted one. She was always trying to play with her brothers stuff. She loves her bow and goes out to nerf war with the neighborhood boys now. I am glad they decided to make a toy for the girls like my DD
  5. I went to Walmart and got combo basketball, golf, t-ball little tikes set, $6 jeans, pjs, and a couple of games. I actually liked 8PM much better than 10PM last year. The shoppers and employees were happier. I only waited in line for 15 mins once I got all my stuff. It took longer since I had a huge box and had to use a cart this year. But overall once the sale started I was out by 8:30. I went yesterday morning at 8 AM to Sears for boots Aeropostle for clothes. I got everything I wanted. The people and employees were pleasant. It was a good black thursday/friday for me!
  6. Ha ha I have one of those "blessing" babies born when my youngest was 6. I had him the 4th of Nov two years ago (c-section). I even whet out on black friday I was use to being up anyway. He really is a blessing and so much fun! Enjoy your "blessing" babies
  7. Oh it is going to be bad will all the extra people. I am thinking about skipping Walmart.
  8. We tell them if it is something Santa can't make then parents have to give money to Santa to help pay for the expensive item. It is just not in my budget to buy something that expensive for all of them. It also helps explain how some people get more and some people get less.
  9. I usually wait until after Christmas to shop for myself. I get really good deals then!
  10. With a baby that is now 1 and still not sleeping all night, I think I am going to skip it this year. I already have too much sleep deprivation to cook all day and shop all night! So online it is for me! :)
  11. I was able to price match some Target doorbusters at Walmart last year. I just had to make sure the add matched the items exactly.
  12. I have the same situation my c-section (baby 4) is scheduled for the 1st week of November. I am hoping I will feel up to going out! :) I will probably only hit a couple of stores and try to do some online shopping instead.
  13. My old Navy is on 50% off clearance also! :)
  14. I am glad that I am not the only one stressing about a Amazon package right now. Mine was sent on the 16th and projected to arrive today. I hope it is here tomorrow!
  15. I have too many favorites to list but I will have to go with Harry Potter. I have read that series more than any other.
  16. I actually have a good Walmart experience to share. Last year I went with my MIL she took one area and I took another. I was buy the childrens sets of running pants and jackets. They were not covered with plastic. The employees told us we could touch them if we wanted but not to put them in the cart yet. We all selected the items we wanted and placed them in front of us. We then did the same thing for the people scattered behind us. We all picked a area and had the sizes and colors we wanted ready for 5AM. As soon as the store announced it was time, we all took our items and left happy. :)
  17. The sheets are around 13 inches deep. We purchased some when we bought our bed from them a couple of weeks ago. I will be going back for more on Saturday!:)
  18. I also went to a 24 hour walmart. In my opinion much better than having a crowd waiting outside to push in the store all at once. It was not bad at all. Everyone waited by the item they wanted and it went very orderly. I think it would be better to have all the walmarts open 24 hours to aviod a problem like that.
  19. I think the the walmart people are crazy. Since it is a 24 hour one. Everyone just goes in early on BF and surrround the items anyway. So what good does it do to line up outside. How do they know that some shopper is not inside waiting while they are lined up outside?
  20. The worst thing in the world is moon sand. That stuff gets everywhere. My sister has always gotten annoying toys for my kids. So I sent that stuff last year for her 3 yr old and she told me that moon sand is evil. She hated it so bad.
  21. I am not a card holder and I got one. I was guessing that it is because I have not ordered from them for a year or so.
  22. I ordered this yesterday afternoon and got the confirmation email. This evening I got a cancellation from them. Did anyone else?
