I have always sent my envelopes certified mail for the larger rebates. This way they cannot say they never received it. Worth the few extra bucks IMO.

When my ds12 was 2yo we went to my sisters on Christmas eve. She had a manger under her tree. Ds took a lamb and was playing with it. I was afraid he was going to break it so I grabbed it from him....along with a big slice of skin from his finger. The darn thing was broken in the back and they still put it under the tree . So stupid because my ds was 2yo and their ds was only 6 months older. So much for child proofing. Anyway we spent part of the night in the ER. His poor finger was wrapped in so many bandages. I felt sooooo bad for grabbing it out of his hand. My BIL felt horrible and even brought all of our gifts to the ER.

I usually use many different patterns of wrapping paper. I love the look of all the different packages under the tree. That's how it was when I was growing up. My dh's parents never used to wrap ANY of his and his sisters gifts. They would have lots of presents but nothing was wrapped. Where's the fun in that? IMO I just think his mom was lazy. If my mom could wrap presents for 5 kids she surely could have wrapped something for 2. As soon as dh starts asking me why I am wrapping all the presents, [and he does it every year] I tell him he better be quiet or he will be spending Christmas with his mom. LOL! BTW he does wrap my presents.
