  1. They are available in a few test stores. As is designer denim.
  2. You'll only get 49.99. The refund will come up in the system when they pull the receipt, since it went back to your credit card.
  3. I don't think you can do adjustments on things that come with gift cards. Also, I know at my store we won't do adjustments on the BF items.
  4. We're always really well stocked on dvds for BF. And like others have said, if we run out, we give rainchecks on those.
  5. Definitely not true. There are a ton of things not eligible for rain checks. Price cuts are one, items that have signs that are "As Advertised" are another (as more often than not these items don't have a different price, they're just in the ad), and then yes, anything stated as such on the sign, which includes anything that comes with a free giftcard, or if something is a "buy item a, get item b" situation. Also, not just supervisors can do merchandise locates. Any team member can do them from any register, or even from the handheld PDT's that we all carry.
  6. Also, calling at one or two at this time of year is much too late. Trucks are unloaded and on the floor by 8, so I'd call right at opening.
  7. We can order a million of something and only actually get one or two. We can look into the problem and inquire as to why we're not getting as many as we ordered, but we can't make them produce them for us on a moments notice. It takes awhile to get answers back, and to get the problem fixed, once its decided that there is one. It took me at least three weeks to get answers on stock I wasn't receiving on digital cameras in electronics. Also, getting a rain check on a price cut, no matter who you take it to, isn't going to help you even if you do manage to get it printed. Temporary price cuts will print like a regular rain check, but if its just a price cut, its going to print at zero percent off, since thats a new permanent price and will do nothing for you in the long run. As far as getting peoples names, its a good trick, as long as you can find someone new enough to still be intimidated by it. Getting called out by corporate is not as big of a deal as it sounds.
  8. If its a price cut, you can't get a rain check on it.
  9. The only time I've ever had to tell a guest we didn't have something due to the manufacturer was if they were recalled or sent back for some reason.
  10. Reindeer Run is pretty much it. Ours was today. Basically, all the Store Team Leads and some of the Executive Team Leads go to each of the stores in the district. They walk the store just like they would on any visit, and they also do fun games, present the team with awards and things like that. Its fun. As far as things on the store side go, we don't do that much. Yesterday we decorated our break room which was followed by the traditional fighting over who gets stuck working what shift on Black Friday, and argued over who got who on their team for the day. Today, the salesplanner books with all of the listings for what endcaps we have to set for Thanksgiving/BF arrived. Other than that, a few meetings, a few fights with management, and we'll be ready to roll.
  11. We always get ours the week beforehand, just like any other ad. However, my boss is really good about keeping it on lock down, so its possible it arrives early and he just doesn't tell us. Once he finally starts giving them out to team leads and specialists, he scrawls our names all over them in sharpie in case he finds them laying around somewhere.... he's pretty much nuts.
  12. We haven't received a shipment of them in weeks, so I know we didn't have any as of opening this morning. It was kind of an odd decision to put them in the book, really.
