ok, I had this SAME issue last night....benefit from my research....cheapest is piperline.com (also on OLd Navy's site as a link , since Gap, inc owns both)....while they ARE full price, they currently have free S&H...making i t even cheaper than the cheapest on ebay. I also checked around to see if Payless or anyone is doing a knock-off yet....NOPE. *I* really want a pair, since crocs/Airwalks fit me so well and are sooo darn comfortable, but Momma isnt prepared to spend $40 on her own feet before the holidays! I always write them a heartfelt thank you card. I wish I could afford to give all the teachers a nice $ gift card, but there are soo many between specials and all the regular teachers I try and keep it really simple. I like the B&BW soap idea. DBF is a teacher and loves that stuff. I stick to basics (kitchen herb, lemon..) and away from florals and musky ones. Now I just wish I had more of those BBW coupons, lol.... I have done Yankee Candles in previous years, I thought they were well-liked...but I guess reading here candles, lotions, scarves and pins are out the door, lol. I make handmade (professionally) cards and I try and give the main teachers a ribbon-wrapped stack of @8-10 general cards, they have always received quite a few compliments. good luck on your gift search, you've got me thinkign about mine!

How bout a digital camera? or a Power tool fo some sort, even a Lowes or Home Depot gift card?

I posted about these a cpl days ago now....129 is IT, I have don e the research for me....and youi..and you...lol. There ARE great bundles on ebay if you want to take the chance and need a bunch of games. I have in hand a crimson/blk DS lite bundle with a case and brainage 2 , I paid 149+tax at Target last weekend. They are all out near here as of this afternoon (of bundles) and they are already going on ebay for over the target price. I am waivering between selling it myself, as DD really wants a white one (pink 2nd choice) and since it is only 1 gift this year, I would like to see her get exactly what she tells "santa" and make that magic happen. I would keep trying the big box type stores, but unfortunately they are all 129 without a bundle. She didnt tel me either, I overheard she and her friends talking...she would NEVER ask me for this, and never expect to get it, excepting for "Santa"....The Brain Age alone is 29.99, so I know the bundle is a good deal, however I would like to make some "magic" happen for her this year by getting her EXACTLY the one she will ask Santa for....I ams till wondering what to do, if ebay is worth trying, or if I should just return the black/crimson bundle....

AND I noticed in BABY they have those new Graco Lovin' Hugs swings for 49.99....which is 50% off, and they were going like hotcakes! Since they go up to 30 lb weight, I finally got ds a swing!

I wouldnt spend a lot on the first set, as his choices/tastes are likely to change drastically in the next 2-3 yrs....I would take a special trip to Walmart or Target and let him pick out his new "big boy" bedding. He will be more likely to transition easily if he feels some ownership in the choices. Also, if you have a Marshalls , TJ Maxx, etc near you, they have some really cute quality kids bedding. HI, I was able to score a bundle including crimson/black DS lite, case and the Brain2 game for 149....howEVER my DD REALLY wants a white or pink, which run 129 game console only (if I could even find one). I overheard her friends saying no one wants the red/black (which I think looks cool)....should I just return it , or is it worth trying to recoup the money on ebay? Any thoughts. All I have is girls to go by...I am thinking maybe boys have these colors in demand? HELP!

They are ALWAYS a BF deal at most of the big retailers for 50% or less. And they are usually in AMPLE supply, so I wouldnt sweat this one. I assume you want the reg legos and not the large block type? They are always 9.99 BF and after....I have 2 big bags from last year in constant use,lol....best 19.98 I ever spent (for 2)....good luck ! Sam

lolo.....I think you saw my post a c pl below yours? the DS will be had at less than 129, btu the DS LITE wont be i dont think, unless I get a response....keep looking back at our posts, maybe we'll get lucky. if tiis the DS , not the lite you want, ebay has some reputable american dealers for those cheaper. Hi all. I am looking for a good deal....so far everyone is 129 . There is a black/crimson w/ case and brain game at target for 149, which is the back up plan. This is a special gift for my kidlet, who will only get 1 thing this year, so I'd love to let Santa do his magic, since she doesn't know that *I* know this is what she really wants. I see deals on ebay, but am afraid after reading some are "reconditioned" or "japanese" versions, whatever that means. lol. So confusing, I know nothing about this stuff.
