  1. Two years ago I went to Radio Shack and bought several items that had mail-in rebates. I had terrible problems and never did get all my rebates. AND the portable dvd players quit working within 3 months and Radio Shack would not stand behind the product because I had not purchased the extended warranty (it was more than the dvd player). I have not and will never go into Radio Shack again - BF or otherwise!
  2. That worked for me at Target, but Kohl's is so crazy that day, and in most stores customer service is in the back of the store, and even that line is long - the deals would have to be pretty good for me to try it!
  3. Does anyone know if Kohl's does price adjustments? If so, what is the time frame?
  4. Just a warning...I bought several items at Radio Shack last year for gifts. Many of the sale prices required rebates which had to be sent in within a certain number of days. The very, very fine print apparently said you had to send the original UPC along with the miles of receipts, rebate forms, etc that printed out with each item. After not receiving any checks, I finally received notification for one of the items that I would not be getting a check until I sent the original UPC. Naturally, many of the boxes had already been burned. When I called to find out why I had only received this notice on one item, I was told that I should not have sent all the rebates in one envelope (the forms did not say this anywhere) , and the others were probably "lost." Weeks later, the other denials began to straggle in. Then...one of the DVD players quit working after maybe a dozen uses. I took it to a repair shop, and was told it was probably defective from the beginning. So, I called Radio Shack, and was told that if I did not purchase the $50 warranty on the $120 DVD player (for which I never got the $70 rebate) , there was nothing they could do for me. I wrote Radio Shack's corporate headquarters and expressed my disappointment, since I had shopped with them because I expected better quality merchandise than was available at WM, and that I certainly expected them to be better about standing behind their products. They pretty much said sorry, but too bad! I will never darken their door again:no: !!!
  5. They did not seem ot know anything about the online price for the roboraptor, but the sales clerk did tell me that sometimes they clearance things out of the warehouses through online sales, but the stores keep the regular price. Shortly after that, roboraptor was not available online, and only roboreptile was available.
  6. i, too, am having trouble getting my kids to say what they want. I guess I will just have to lay out a lot of catalogs and see what gets dog-eared!
  7. I just went to the TRU site to look at the big book up close, and I noticed that the Amazing Allysen doll is listed at 89.99, but when i searched popular toys, it showed the price cut to 69.99. I guess they are trying to match walmart. I also have discovered that sometimes the online price is lower than the price in the store. This was true recently of the roboraptor. 69.99 online and 99.99 instore.
  8. Hi from Noble, Illinois - so it's not a suburb of Chicago - 6 hours south of there in fact! I just discovered this site, and am very, very excited! I have been BF shopping for several years. My son is 9 and I took him with me the first year when he was still in a punkin seat (my mom came too!) Looking forward to chatting with everyone!
