I was in Walmart the other night. They have only tubes and LCDs in my store -- a few tubes and a LOT of LCDs. They were running a sports video and I just could not deal with the image quality. This sounds stupid, but it wasn't so obvious that I could see it -- it was just something I could perceive (like the flicker of a fluorescent bulb). I think I would have HUGE buyer's remorse if I replaced my 36" tube (Sony 4:3 SDTV) with one of these.
Having only watched these in a store, I got to wondering if the lighting was the real culprit. Any long time LCD owners who are sports fans care to comment on the viewing experience?
Just to keep this on topic, I predict a $300 37" lcd and a $500 42" lcd for BF.
If you're right I'll probably be eating Turkey Dinner on concrete for that 42"

I got the TMNT mini van on clearance for 3.74 today (and it was 10.98 on Saturday) and 4cans of Spiderman web fluid for a 1.24 each ` (and they are $4-5 elsewhere) that I didn't even see there Saturday evening. This stuff was at 75% off and never went to 50... Go figure!

Besides the ad sales this week, there were really good clearance deals at my walgreens througouth the store, but the $1 section was 50% off too. I got 4 500 pk. of q-tips for .50 ea (Walgreens brand), a pack of 3 plastic hair clips for .50, 18 boxes of raisins for 1.50, .50 pk of 4 toothebrushes.... just a whole gang of stuff. I am considering going back.

I saw a lot of little boys tennis shoes and Sandals (Spiderman, Cars, Transformers & Hulk) that were discounted... I got my sons 3 pairs for under $20. Patio in Indy on 82nd was 50%, and I am severly tempted... Does anyone know how long it will stay there?

it was 3.98 at target a couple years ago and has been 4.99 at bb and cc intermittently. just keep your eyes open or check out deepdiscount when they have a sale.
