  1. Keep in mind that, as with all retail, it really depends on the supervisors and what type of people they hire. I personally would rather deal with CompUSA than any of the other electronic stores. The people at CompUSA (mine at least) actually know something about electronics. If I go to BB or Circuit City they have employees who don't know what their talking about and really don't want to help (Circuit City is the worst in my area). Even the supervisors at CompUSA help the customers if they see someone looking for something. I am well pleased with my CompUSA and will go there everytime unless there is a significant price difference between sales....Yes, I was at CompUSA last year on BF and the manager spent 20 minutes looking for a bluetooth headset that was on sale. When he couldn't find one, he offered me a rain check (very unusual, as you know, on BF). This is a manager who wants people to shop there in the future. You know what...since then, if I need something , I always check CompUSA first and have always had good customer service. Just my experience.
  2. I need a good deal on a approx. 20" LCD TV. Any inside scoops?
  3. Good thing about my Walmart is that they are open 24 hours. Last year they let everyone in and had different lines set up throughout the store for the blitz items. It was nice and warm. I hope they do the same this year. They started blitz items at my Walmart last year at 5am.
  4. I went last year around 11:15 and got everything I wanted (laptop, wireless router, camera) except for the bluetooth headset.
  5. It really depends on what BB and Circuit City has on sale. Sometimes if CompUSA has a similiar item on sale for just a couple of dollars more, it's worth going because you have a better chance of getting what you want.
  6. I'm looking for CompUSA. I need a LCD TV for my daughter. Everything else is icing on the cake.
  7. The CompUSA rebates were great last year. A lot of them could be done online. Much better than doing the mailing gimmick.
  8. I'll be in the Best Buy line this year, hoping for a LCD TV for my daughter. I was lucky last year and got everything I wanted, but I put a lot of planning into it (dispersed people to different stores, had time schedules, etc.) I hit CompUSA first last year which was great. I'm anxiously awaiting the electronic store ads to find out who has the best price on a LCD. Hope they come out soon.
  9. I think this year I might take the chance and buy something before hand and do a price adjustment BF. The worst that can happen is I return it within the return period.
  10. Now that my kids are older and know the real deal with Santa. I wrap them as soon as possible (usally not in the original boxes). It drives them crazy.
  11. We went to our Walmart around 4:00 a.m. last year. They let everyone in the store to shop and had lines set up throughout the store for Blitz items. It was actually handled really nice because you weren't standing in the cold.
  12. Last year I was at CompUSA at 11:30 p.m. I cooked, we ate, and took a nap around 7:00 pm. Was up by 10:30 p.m. ready to go. We shopped until 10:00 am the next morning. I love BF.
  13. Last year Kmart didn't really have anything that appealed to me either. I did go there last and bought a sewing machine, but I was really looking for the expensive electronic deals and so I concentrated on CompUSA (which was great last year), Best Buy and Circuit City. I hope CompUSA has a good ad this year.
