  7. Now mind you I was already going to the grocery store but wanted to check the boards but then after seeing this contest and posting a quick comment, (which I had later, on the drive to Walmart, thought maybe I shouldn't have taken the time to do that). I yelled at my three kids to get their shoes and coats on. As they were dilly dallying around, I was yelling, "Come on, get a move on, I have to hurry" and printing the 1st page. They go running out of the house and hop in the car, then my youngest starts complaining about where she wants to sit, I was like, "Just get in the car and get in your car seat, I don't have time for this nonsense". After moving the car seat to the back of the SUV, because I didn't want to listen to the wining, I was off. Walmart is located 10 minutes from my house. Traffic was a bit heavy and of course the women in front of me was digging around her car, stopping and swerving and just generally being a nuisance, causing additional delay. As I am driving there, I see a Walgreens coming up and say, "I cannot think, do they have a BF ad or not. I couldn't be sure under all that pressure, so I decided not to take the chance and kept on driving. Now there is a Dunkin Donuts in front of Walmart as well as some little strip mall stores. I have to turn right at the light to enter the strip mall entrance and you cannot turn right on red, therefore, I cut threw the Dunkin Donuts parking lot to get there faster. I fly into the parking lot, found the first closest parking spot to the door and tell my oldest to keep on eye on the other two, I would be right back in a minute. I get out of the car, searching in my pocket for my cell phone as I am running to the door. As I am getting to the doors, I start thinking, where am I suppose to go that will show I am in Walmart, hmmm, customer service, a price sign, wait do they say Walmart on them, how about the registers? Then I enter and see the TV camera and it says Walmart, I was like, that will work. I quick held up the printed 1st page of this thread in front of the monitor and clicked a picture and ran back out of the store. I seen no one, if anyone seen me, I have no clue, maybe you will all see me on the news later, lol. Any who, I ran back to the car, jumped in and sped off. As I am driving, my mother calls to talk about her doctor visit. I am trying to be patient and listen. I tell her I was on my way to the store and I will call her right back. We hang up and I tell my oldest to find that picture and send it to my email so it will cut out another step. I am about 4 minutes from my house and sitting at a light, when what do I see in front of me, the railroad crossing lights going on. I mumbled a few choice words, continue to the crossing and parked the car because it was going as slow as molasses. As I am sitting there impatiently waiting for it to end, I start laughing out loud because I was thinking just then, that Brad must be getting a big laugh out of this contest as he has us running around like mad Gottadealers (I used some more choice words here besides mad Gottadealers). I fly up to my front door, park the car, jump out saying, "Stay where you are, don't get out of your car seats, I will be right back, I am just running in to do something" I fly into the house, rush to the pc and since everything was already open, clicked on hotmail, refreshed, thought perhaps I should check the board to see if anyone already posted their pic, thought better of it and clicked on the email with the pic, clicked on the the pic, saved it as BFtshirt, went to photobucket, uploaded, copied image location, clicked on Gottadeal, it was left on the thread, clicked quick reply, added url and hit submit. Now I seen my image and thought, I wonder if I was the first, I scrolled up and there was another. I had many choice words which I said out loud and then I thought, I wonder how much I missed it by. I looked and had more choice words when I found out it was by a minute. I could not believe it, just one minute, if only....... I gotta good laugh out of it and now my kids think I have just lost it!

  12. When I wake up on Christmas morning I cannot help but get excited when I see all the gifts under the tree. There are of course the ones we wrapped and usually there's quite a few as we give a gift to each member of the family. Then there are the ones left by Santa, scattered among the others. They are sitting there looking so festive, in their Santa paper, bows and tags. The elves must be so busy cause sometimes we find one or two unwrapped. As for the rules... On Christmas Eve 1. Each person gets to pick out one little gift and open it. If someone got Christmas pj's, I try and guide them to that package. 2. Everyone must wear something Christmas like to sleep in. It makes for great Christmas morning pictures! On Christmas Morning 1. Someone is the gift giver...It is their job to make sure everyone gets the right gift. They must read the tags, pass them out, crawl around under the tree, reach and stretch, until all gifts are passed out. Anyone who is not present on Christmas morning, their gifts are left under the tree until we see them. No one must touch them. 2. As you get your gift from the gift giver, it is your job to stack all your gifts up next to or around you. 3. You must not touch anything that is not in your pile. 4. If Santa left a note, it is read aloud by me. Now the rest of the rules can be different depending on if we are on Vacation or at home At Home... 1. The youngest goes first and opens their gifts. If it is not a Santa gift, then the person closest to them will let everyone know who the gift is from. After they finish opening the gift, they must thank who ever gave it to them. 2. Then the next oldest opens theirs and so on until everyone has opened theirs. I am always last because I am so busy taking in the moment, clicking pictures or cam cording. 3. Then they race for their stockings and empty the contents. 4. Everyone picks up the wrapping paper! 5. Now comes the time to get everything out of its box or put together. 6. Then each persons things (when not playing with them) go in a pile, under the tree for a few days. On Vacation... 1. When I say go, they all dig in and its a free for all. I sit back and cam it all, I know who is opening what so I can get their expressions when they open it. If I think I might miss something, I simply ask them to wait a moment so I can capture the moment and they are pretty good about it 2. Everyone is thanked for the gift they gave 3. Everyone picks up the paper 4. They head towards their stockings to unload the contents Now they must be polite, thankful and courteous. They already know, if it don't fit we can exchange it, if they don't like it, we can get something they like instead, if they already have it, its okay so and so don't live with us and they didn't know you have it and I'll take them to the store to get something else they want instead. Funny thing is, none of those things really happen because I make suggestions to the Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc.. from the list of things I already know they want, need or like. They also know that if they find coal in their stockings and it has happened that they found a little piece of coal in the toe of their stocking, that they better behave, bring up their grades or knock off the attitude or else, next years stocking will be full of coal!!

  17. If it is cold in your area, put out a few heaters, serve some hot apple cider, coffee and hot chocolate, I mean it isn't gonna break ya! Also, if you know there is only 10 of something and its a hot, hot item, pass out raffle tickets to anyone in line that showed up to get one, at least this way everyone has a chance. This is great for anyone that is not in the front of the line, thus it will cut down on all the crazies, trying to run one another over in order to get there first to get it. Further more liven up the store a bit by having some sort of random give a ways. For example, announce that the 10th person in line at register 5 is a winner of a what ever it is or perhaps, the first person standing in next to a certain item in the store wearing a certain color gets whatever. This would make people stick around a bit longer and shop, if they know they can win a little something extra and that means more money spent at your store! As for what to give away, well it could be a roll of wrapping paper, ribbons, a cd of Christmas music, a Christmas movie, etc....

  20. Sent off three to the following... Foxnews.com Oprah.com Cltv.com Here is what it said: You always see Black Friday news stories on Black Friday, usually it is all about shoppers lined up hours before stores with big sales open. Once inside the stores, shoppers often rush and grab, big draw items such as electronics and other popular toys because they are sharply discounted. The media covers the event, mentioning how early the shoppers began lining up at various stores and providing video of the shoppers standing in line and later leaving with their purchased items. However, with the upcoming Holiday season soon approaching, an article, months in advance of Black Friday, would be beneficial to Consumers. They can take advantage of Gottadeal.com, when planning their Black Friday shopping and get the best deals, tips and strategies to make the most out of their Black Friday shopping Event!
