Thanks for the advice. This day really didn't go as planned. I'm just finishing dinner prep for tomorrow and sat down at the computer. Found the Touch he wants for $199.99 online at Target. Dug out my rarely-used Target card for an extra 5% off. Shipping is free. Decided I can live with that, get a few hours of sleep and be a better hostess tomorrow. Anyone care to share their general strategies for Thanksgiving a.m. at Meijer. I've never been there early on BF and never shopped on Thanksgiving, unless Mom called with a last minute grocery request on our way over :) But youngest has only one wish for Christmas -- an iPod Touch, and a Meijer $50 gift card to help feed the constantly hungry teenagers here seems like the best deal. I'm planning to drive a bit further to the more "out of the way" store hoping for less competition. Any other suggestions? Will they move them somewhere or keep them back in electronics? Form a line early and hand out tickets? Any insight appreciated.

I placed a sizable order several months ago on a 49% off day. They state up-front that their shipping is slow since they fill orders during down-time in a shared warehouse. I think I received my order in about 10 days. They are loosely affiliated with addictedtorubberstamps.com. If you've ever ordered from that site, you know they pack with great care ... items grouped together by size/type and shrink wrapped. I ordered a number of stamping items that are unavailable locally and found the prices to be well worth the slower shipping time. Last year it went 50% off soon after the 4th of July. I was looking for a particular set and finally found it not too far from home. At 50% off the outdoor furniture went very fast, hardly anything left after that. They reset the area with Back-to-School supplies. HTH

Should be the price on the receipt you printed from your online purchase, as far as I know. You paid and completed the transaction online. The only thing that happens at the store is the pickup. At least that's been my experience in the past.

Went to our CC around 8 this a.m. Lines were still long, all around the store. Handwritten sign at the entrance said No Online Pickup at that time. I asked the closest CC employee when they thought they would resume processing pickups. He said "maybe this afternoon. I don't know." My husband said "crashed the system, huh?" And the guy just nodded. Hoping to see my camera before next weekend.
