dang.. wish we still had Kmarts close... I have wanted to buy those since last Christmas.. waited too long at Target and they salvaged them at 50%. Maybe BF will have something. Congrats to those that found them!!!!!!!

I think its a special target deal... I saw them today. Its very very tiny.. about a one inch square.. I would be afraid it would get lost;if you are planning on giving it to a younger child. It would drop in your pocket very easily. Its bright pink and cute but I was surprised at the size.

Checked on the panels but nothing there. Went to two different Targets.. one store still had 07 stuff for 30% off..said maybe tomorrow; HOWEVER, the other store was marking things down to 75% when I got there. All of it was 75% off except the pretty throws..they are still 30%. I got the large blanket towels 2.48; making 2 pk "head towels" (never heard them called that)1.74 a pack. These are great for regular towels for little ones. They had king sheets 11.44 All in one bed sets from 22-29 according to the size. The rugs (I think they were 46"x72) 7.28. I got a magnetic spice rack (which I have been wanting forever)that was regularly 39.99 for 7.48. They had some decorative pillows 75% off too. Lots of stuff was being marked down. Yes, I know that our target does donate their salvage stuff usually but according to the 2 associates they "threw it away". Now that I think about it,I havent seen much Target stuff at our Goodwill lately.

I overheard an interesting conversation today between two stocking associates. One was saying that he was told to clear it all out.. the other said yes,he told me to throw it all away including the Shabby chic stuff. : WHAT???? THROW IT AWAY?????????? I SO wanted to ask them if they really meant throw it away... but when they saw me they both took off and went down another aisle. Hmmm... dumpster diving may be a new sport I might have to take up :sidesplit

When I was much younger, a refurb or last year's model might have bothered me... but now (shhh I am 62) if it is something I want,and my son or daughter can find it less expensive as a refurb then... woohoo for them. It would mean just as much to me.. infact I would probably feel better about it because they didnt have to spend so much money on it. Go for it... it truly is the thought that counts!!!!

I went to Target this morning to check this particular thing out. They didnt even have any. When I ask the associate about them,he said they have been been waiting to get more but he didnt know when. They did have a lego castle (not reduced in price)but it wasnt the Harry Potter Castle. Maybe the one the poster found was an internet purchase returned. The way they price those things make no sense. I got a rug for 1.24 once that was normally 49.99 but the long red sticker said reg 4.99 now 1.24. So WHO KNOWS their reasoning. And you are right,ebay are selling these for $150-270 (I saw a buy it now for $270 for the Harry Potter castle)

I got a cottage rug that was regularly 89.99 for 18.99 I was soo excited. Some 07 stuff was marked down 75% but most was still 30%. She said probably next thursday they will mark the rest down.

Our Target had kids 2 pack pjs for 30% off but they are the ones with the really tiny arms so I passed them up. They had alot of t shirts (boys and girls)75% off;boys underwear 75% off. I found a very nice horseshoes toss set regularly 59.95 for 14.95. These would make great presents. Also found a great cork/blackboard message center that has the sliding cork board for $ 4.98 reg 19.99 These were all on the endcaps

OH I dont think they lose money really.... I think their mark up is probably about 150% retail. So unless we get it at 90% off they are probably at least breaking even.Look at the Global Bazaar..when they first get that stuff in I think the price is "outrageous" but some people want it and pay the full price. By the time it gets marked down to 30% I think that is still a pretty good profit for them.. at 50% maybe alittle profit then at 75% breaking even. My dad use to manage a furniture store in California so I KNOW the mark up price of some of those items. I think when they salvage stuff it's at the break even point and thats why they then start donating it.. they make more on donation write off then selling it for a lower price. Just my opinion :g_shrug:

Dollar Spot (red dot only)was 75% today and it looked like they had restocked some of it cause there was tons of stuff. The travel desk kits were in the stationary arts and crafts part of the store (where the crayons,markers,kids crafts stuff is. Not in the toy or school department. ) but that is our store... it seems alot of the stores are different setups.

My store had them in the endcap over by the stationary and crafts stuff.

Target has the OFF candles for 75% off... 2.23... inside is a 2.00 off coupon so they are only 23c. they had the off lamps too 3.32 and they also have the 2.00 off coupon so they are 1.23. I was a nice girl.. I only bought 4 and left about 20 behind. It is really a great deal and we have to deal with West Nile here so they are life savers!!!

Our target had lots of color books,activity books and dry eraser marking pre K books down to 75%. they are in the DVD Book Area not the toys dept. They also had the cedar wooden 3 panel fences marked down from $119.00 to $27.00 (these are great to hide outside garbage cans. Dorm stuff is now 50%. I found a Percy's Chocolate Crunch DVD with a wooden train bonus for $2.76 There was only one so it might have been a return but its really cute. And the BESTEST FIND... fruit punch 69c... have NEVER found fruit punch and havent found any of the 10 packs in months.

Our target had the travel kits too.. the one that straps over the backseat and makes alittle desk so they can color and write and draw. I think they were like $3.xx (usually $14.99)

Just returned from target... they were marking down kids craft kits to 75% like the sidewalk caulk kits,travel crafts;24 pk Sharpies) markers (were 7.99 now 1.99)and several other items. They are in the crafts part of the store not the toy dept. Also they had restocked some of the $1.00 spot. Some of the things had blue spots on them and they were ringing up 1.00 but the cashier said all 1.00 spot stuff is $.50 so he marked them down. The dorm stuff was 50%. Dora and Diego toddler sheet sheets and 4 pc toddler bed sets were 50% off and they are putting up Halloween stuff in 5 aisles. I cant believe its that time of year already... oh well.. just makes it closer to our fun BF!!!!!!!!!!!

50% at our store too. Just got back tho and it was pretty much picked over.

The REAL high is when someone on HERE runs home and shares the deal they found and you go to the store and find it not marked down yet but you scan it and its IS ON SALE... It is like you wanna say... HEY I FOUND SOMETHING YOU DIDNT KNOW ABOUT!!! hahahaah and its really great if you find something and there is someone else looking at it and you get to tell them its on sale!!!!

We have all done it or at least thought about it :smirk: I usually just move it to one side or the other of the stack and turn it around so the front doesnt show. It seems to work for me most of the time. (Not that I have done it alot but I have done it several times)

Ok you can go to the target site and find the item you are looking for and under the description usually is the dcpi number.. with that number go to http://www.schumanfamily.com/fatwallet/targetasin.php and it will tell you which target might still have the item. It isnt fool proof but at least you can call that particular target and see if they have it still.

It is 10 pack... all but the orange juice ones... for some reason they are regular price. Keep looking... they show up just when you think you will never find one :yup:

Our target had lots of crafts stuff 50-75 off. Got some sidewalk chalk kits for 75%. Also the summer pool stuff is 50% off Didnt see any toys marked further down.
