I got the Sharp 60" at the Sears Black Friday price from amazon.com. They now show $999.99 as the sale price for the item.

I was at my local Sears today scouting out how many 60" they had in stock for Friday. They were selling for full price today.

I have a Sears/K-Mart Rewards account and accessed the online Black Friday ad for Sears. There are TVs listed, but not this one.

I got in line at 3:15 and had no trouble getting the 40" HDTV, still several there when I got to them.

I'm usually there by 6:15 and have always gotten whatever I wanted. Same for tomorrow. Last year I even passed on a Wii coupon.

My Staples was great. They had the tickets color coded, red, green and gold. At the store entrance there were color arrows on the floor leading to the three distribution areas. The store manager came out about 5:15 and explained the procedure and the tickets were handed out at 5:30. I needed one item in the red secion and one in the green. Also, the manager announced that they had 1 17" widescreen laptop computer to the first person who wanted it. I was third in line and got the laptop, and was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Way to go Staples!

I got a nice surprise. I was third in line at my Staples and just before they opened they announced that they had 1 Acer 17" widescreen laptop for $549. I got it!!!

I was 3rd in line at my Staples and they had 30 Navigon 2100. The first three in line all wanted them. Not a ticket item, but I got mine.

I went to my Radio Shack on Saturday and they said that the Navigon unit in the Black Friday ad was recalled for damage to screens from the packaging. They didn't know what would replace it but they did expect something compatable.

I actually did some on Saturday. Found out that the Navicon GPS unit in the Radio Shack ad was recalled and they have not decided on a replacement yet.

The laptop was not the only thing to go quickly at my Wal-Mart last year. The portable DVD player lasted about 2 minutes.
