I did that this year. I was done with my kids early (October) and everytime I turn around I see something that I have to buy for them. I keep stopping myself from buying. It was 5 presents per child and I brought an extra one for my middle child, so I had to buy another for the others. I always make sure that they have the same number of gifts and try to spend the same amount of money on each child. That did not happen this year but as long as the have the same number I am ok.

My favorite Christmas movie is Smokey Mountain Christmas (starring Dolly Parton) the first showing is on cmt Sunday Nov 3rd 8pm...it plays a few other times on cmt but I am not sure of the times. I loved this movie when I was young.

i am 4 pairs of pj pants away from being done. my tree is up and all but 2 gifts (except my kids santa gifts) are all wrapped. so i am really close to being ready.

me too...$15 to be exact...compared to the $400 iI put on layaway the last few years. I am sure we are not the only ones who spent way less. Wal Mart may just see way lighter pockets this season.

the 100 dvd's at BB. But I did not even go there because you could not get in the store parking lot. And the video rocker at Wal Mart or Target.

Best: Target...doors were open at 6 and I was in and out. I was at Old Navy for 6:36am. I was in and out of there quick too. I don't really have a worst. Best Buy was so jam packed you could not even get in the parking lot and Kohl's was the same.

it is keeping me away for sure. my daughter asked for this after seeing it on tv. but i don't think it is really worth it.

i thought i would throw my 2 cents in...i have both a sony camcorder (dcr-dvd 405) and a sony digitial camera (dsc-p52...an older model as it is 3 years old) and they are both wonderful! I am still using the original rechargeable batteries that came with the camera and they still work great. i am very satisfed with both and recommend sony to anyone.

since i am almost done shopping..the only thing i really want is the wagon from Target. I almost brought it a couple of weeks ago but am glad that I did not.

i called our local wal mart today and talked to the manager..she said they will price match stores in the same parish (county)...so the only store that rules out for me is kmart. and of course they do not price match ''gimmicks''. so i am happy.

This is my 4th year shopping on BF, i do not pay attention to the ads them selves because for the last few years I have known what I wanted and where to get thanks to this site. So my question is are the ads in the newpaper on thanksgiving day or black friday itself?

i have done my bf shopping at wal mart first for the last three years and have never had a problem nor have I seen a problem. and have been lucky enough to get what i went for evey year.

my dh says he does not care what i spend. i do let him know i brought this and spent x amount of money. he hates shopping too and will gladly let me do it.

I am the only one who is signed up to recieve email notifacation when the new ads are posted but are not recieving the notifacation until the next day?

right now aeropostale is having a really good clearnace. i just order my neice a $40 hoodie for $14.99. just go to their website and click on clearnace. there are pages in different catorgories.

they were allowed to be put on layaway at my local store. our store got 5 and out of the 5 sold three of them were put on layaway. i waiting for the dvd/vcr player and was watching them.

i am in the same boat as you. i am 3 small gifts away from neing done. a record for me. i am usually not done till a few days before christmas.

anyone else think that wal mart is having this "sale" before they end layaway?

a few times a day to read the boards and always checking my email for ad notifcation.
