does anyone have info on dunham's bf ad? i am looking for a free standing basketball hoop for my son and since wm doesn't have one this year i am looking around ... i haven't seen dunhams ad yet though:confused:

They could have a deal on one, who knows.
Lots of times something like a camcorder is an assembly item and not normally stocked in the warehouse. This means it can take 4-6 weeks or longer to get it in stock. I highly doubt walmart would pull to prevent price matching. Walmarts goal = move merchandise
some walmarts do pull merchandise so they don't have to pricematch - my walmart pulls the new madden ps2 game every year b/c cc runs it at 29.99 about 2 weeks after it is released - i looked for it at walmart last year to pricematch and i asked the girl in electronics where it was and she said she didn't know... i know they pulled it b/c the sticker to stock the item was taken off the shelf and there was an empty hole where i had seen the game the week b4

I hope so. Maybe everyone will go to K-mart since they still have layaway. What do you all think?
i think up until now BB is kicking walmart's ass with the ads and i don't know if wally world is going to be able to pull it off with the addition of bb new 7 hour sale items - they kick butt - we'll have to see... but there is a good chance that walmart will lose a big chunk of the crowd to folks trying to get the bb deals

call your local walmart and check - last year my walmart wouldn't match target's prices b/c the nearest one is 40 miles away, but i called last night and the courtesy desk girl checked with a manager and they said they would price match target and the new BB from the next town - i think they are afraid of losing shoppers to there, so call and check with your store , they can give you a definite answer

i always stocked up on faded glory jeans for the kids and hubby, but this year i don't know if they will be having them?

oh yeah they have a gameplan for it that is no doubt. People will have a coupon or ticket for both the 42 inch plasma tv's and for secret #8. So I would guess they are expecting lines big lines for those.
Something tells me people are going to be getting to Wal_mart very early this year to get in line.
I just can't imagine what it might be that they don't have an image of it???
i hope it is a new bundle of a desktop to compete with BB - although i would imagine more people will be lining up for a laptop deal if they come anywhere close to the rumored 199 laptop that everyone was expecting in the ad that didn't materialize

I have no idea what is it but I know it is going to be at layaway where the 42 inch plasma tv's are also going to be. Something about a ticket. Obviously they are expecting lines for these things.
I have seen the map for the store for Blitz I have no idea what the 8 things are but I know where they are all going to be.

I don't think the 8 things will be in the stores til Thursday night. they are saying that they will put #8 on the opening page of walmart.com on Thursday when they announce them if and that is if they have an image of it by then???????

so if i call my walmart they should be able to tell me ahead of time where tickets for the big items will be lining up ??(it sounds as if they have a gameplan for all of the people they are expecting)

I can see a laptop being one of the deals, but I highly doubt Elmo will be. He's in too much demand as it is for them to knock the price down any more. The idea behind Black Friday is to put items out there at low prices to draw people into the store. Elmo at regular price is going to draw masses of people in. A PS3 at regular price is going to draw masses of people in. So those aren't going to be knocked down to some amazingly low price unnecessarily.
am hoping a desktop is one of those items that will be cheap

that had to be only part of the ad b/c their regular sunday ad is at least 25 pages - there will be toys on sale - trust me, i hit Boscovs every year and most of their toy sales you can get at 10am still (i don't go there until after walmart, toys r us and cc)

I was on a couple of hours ago and there was someone asking how to send scans of the Kohl's ad to Brad and now it is gone... did they send the ad??? Is it being scanned or posted?? Just curious b/c the walmart ad sucked so bad i need to find somewhere else for my first stop:(

last year some of the pallets at my wm were wrapped in clear cellophane under the black plastic. the employees protecting the pallets took off the black so we could see which pallet was which but left the cellophane on so you couldn't take anything off the pallet. i was waiting by the CP kids and the lady there took off the cellophane too so we could see the sex, bd and name of the dolls and we sorted them (on the pallet) but we appreciated her letting us do that so we didn't take any early

CVS showed up last year but it was very late in the game. Less than a week before bf if memory serves...maybe 10 days....make that 2 days before (I just had to search and check)
I am waiting for their annual bf battery prices....gotta stock up with 4 kids and all their electronics ....
if your kids are using AA or AAA batteries in their electronics, buy the Kodak charger at walmart with the batteries in the digital camera section. These batteries recharge on the pack and last a loooong time. then when the batteries die, you just charge them back up. you can pick up a charger with 4 batteries for $11 and one with double and triple AAA's for under $20. it will save you a bunch in the long run

how old are your kids and are they boys or girls? My son is 12 and the hot games for that age are Mario hoops 3 on 3 and metroid. my daughter wants the new mario 64 and lego star wars. both of my kids love the nintendogs but i think they are only for DS

I thought walmart had the best dvd prices on newer releases last year, at least that was my opinion of it...
no, i got the cinderella special release last year for $10 at cc - they normally have the best prices on the new releases, but they have very limited quantities and long checkout lines - i always go back to the car stereo installation checkout b/c most people don't know that they can check out there:)

i still use two crockpots (one was removeable) and the other is the little one that they had for 3 something about four years ago - i still use both a lot and they have taken a beating and still work well - they were so cheap they don't have any name brand on them, i can't complain about performance or price:no:
