My local WM was sold out of several items. They said they had been very busy all morning and it was just starting to slow down a little. That was about 7:30 a.m.

You guys didn't miss anything!!! The crowds were unbelievable and I still don't understand why. I didn't buy much of anything.

O Holy Night is my definite favorite, but I love all Christmas music.

I have the sage colored roomba and I really like it. I also have the dirt dog roomba. I like the dirt dog better because I feel it is a little tougher and does a better job of cleaning; however, it is pretty much a no frills machine. The dirt dog is geared for a workshop but with nine kids it does a great job in the house!

IMO, some of the deals are okay and some are not so hot. I think it really depends on what you are looking for. Target and Sears ads weren't too bad, but there are still several more I'm waiting to see.

Yep, I'm pretty much done wrapping, too. I like being able to have all of that done early so that I can enjoy decorating and baking cookies with my nine kids.

I definitely do not recommend freezing M&M's. First of all, they become very sticky once they are thawed and secondly, you should never freeze chocolate as it changes the texture of it. If you keep them in a cool location (not refrigerated though), they should be okay until March.

I bought the Magellan 2000 at Toys R Us about six weeks ago when it was on clearance for $160. We absolutely LOVE it!!!!

Thanks for the input y'all. We also have a set spending limit. It will just be the first year he doesn't get a lot of presents because of the cost of kayac. We do not do santa because we celebrate the birth of Christ although it is easy to get caught up in the hype. My husband has been saying we need to do something similar to what you are talking about. We have a country santa that could make good use of toys for underpriviledged children. Do you give them the card before Christmas and let them pick out the gifts. I think if we let them shop for stuff they would have more fun then just telling them we are spending less on them. We do give them the card before Christmas. The first time we did it, we weren't sure how they would respond, but the kids look forward to this every year. The kids ask every year if we are going to continue the tradition.
