  1. I also think the best times were going early on Friday morning. I would meet my mom at Target and from there we would go to the mall and not get home until after lunch. We had so much fun. Mom passed away 4 years ago and I really miss doing that with her. My friend and neighbor is a big Black Friday shopper also - so we go together now and have included our daughters who are 14 now. (Although we have to separate from them at times as a lot of the items I buy are for her). It is so much more fun going with others. I don't mind the crowds. I just love being out there!!
  2. Well, I ended up getting the Ipad Air 2 64GB at Target yesterday. Price matched to Staples @ $479. Then there was a Cartwheel for 10% off. ( Wasn't sure if this would work so put other stuff in cart with other cartwheel stuff). So, it did work. Then had my Dads' employee discount of 10% and Red Card discount of 5%. Ended up paying about $368 + tax. So, I think I got a great deal and that one is now crossed off my list.
  3. What does everyone think of the Ipad Air 2 sale at Staples. It is on sale for $479. I can take that and price match at Target. My dad is retired from there and gets the employee discount plus red card discount. So, total would be $410. Is the $479 a good price for this. Do you think it will go lower or should I just go with this one. (I can price match most any of the stores to Target and get the extra discounts - just wondering on the sale price if that seems good? Thanks.
  4. I am interested in the Xbox games but it shows only Xbox One not 360. So, the 360 ones are probably not at the $29.99 price??
  5. Is Staples easy to get items from on Black Friday?
  6. His eyes are pretty good. He will just be using it at home in place of the desktop. I'm sure he won't be bringing it anywhere.
  7. So, my brother just asked me last night if I wanted to go in and get my Dad a laptop for Christmas. Right now he just has a very old desktop (so very slow). He is not techie and would use it mainly for e-mail, web and printing his suduko puzzle everyday. With that being said we also don't want a cheap $200 laptop. So, I've been looking at all the laptops but I am not very techie either. Don't want to even try Best Buy. Was looking at the HP Pavilion at Sams Club for $399. i5, 6GB/500GB,14". Does this look like a decent laptop? Doesn't look like it has a CD/DVD Drive though (not sure how important that would be for him though). Any other ideas would be great - looking for something under $500. Thanks.
  8. I have started a bit too. Kids have all the gadgets already (Netbooks, I-touch, I-Pad, I-Phones, X-Box, Wii) So, no big items to get this year. I plan on getting them both a small photo album and filling each pocket with either a gift card or cash. Gift cards will be for stores, fast food, and stuff like skiing etc. Plus other things, but that will be there bigger gift this year. So far I have for 13 Year old son: Champps GC, Beats Headphones (got on groupon deal), Phiten Necklaces, Fun I-phone cases. For 11 Year old Daughter: Coach Purse (from outlet on clearance), Aeropostale G/C, Fun I-phone cases. Niece - Set of 5 Different Sterling Silver Necklaces from QVC. Still have lots to get as I like a tree full of gifts but it's a start.
  9. My problem is that DD still believes in Santa. And when I buy things for the kids this year most of the items will be from Santa as we are getting them Laptops this year. So, I can't buy anything for her or her brother. They remember everything and if he opens something from Santa that she saw me buy - she will be all over that.
  10. My DD9 wants to really come with BF shopping. I would have no problem with her coming with me as she listens well and stays by me. But, half of the items I shop for are for her or her brother so it would be too much of a hassle trying to hide everything and not being able to look at stuff without her around. So, she does not get to go with me.
