  1. I wouldn't carry more than $100 in cash on you. I would def only carry plastic. I have budgeted $2500 for this year, I spent 1800 last year by 9am. but I got my TV and my laptop and my Wii with about 7 games.....oh and I did get like 300 in rebates back off of that, so I dont' think I did tooo incredibly bad
  2. That's where I got my Wii last year. I am def going back. They don't have a lot of deals but the ones they do have are sure worth it for a pre BF warm up. Last year they had Disney digital cameras 2/19.99. That was less than BOGOF. My DD and DN loved them!!
  3. Can't wait!!!! Brad thanks for helping. I feel like this site is my 12 step program to shopping. I am so anxious, I have already had several dreams about getting or NOT getting DB's. BOO!! It's been this way for me since August I can't take it!! I am one of those people that can't sleep like 2 days before. It works out though bc by the time I get to BF I am running on pure adrenaline and have no mercy when it comes to getting my stuff. :) (I am not really that bad)
  4. MY WORST BF EVER!!!!!!!!!! We are standing in the 2 hour check out line at Kohls Just got in line too. I don't remember what I had. I think it was the dual portable DVD players. Anyway. My sister went with me because she wanted me to charge all of her stuff and in return she would let me keep the $10 coupons.....ANYWAY so we are in line barely 15 minutes, and guess what- Her water breaks!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I didn't get my dvd players and she didn't get the stuff that she had, but 9 hours later I got to see my beautiful nephew. so it was worth it!
  5. I don't have a Haiku, but thought this may be a cute ad

    Turkey's on the table

    as we all give thanks

hurry up and shovel it in

    mom is on a rampage

    got all my ads

    Im ready to go

put on my jeans, my shirt, my sweatshirt, my 2 pairs of socks, my snow pants & boots, my gloves, my hat, my scarf

and I am out the door

I can barely put my hands down

I can't even see my toes

    I look like Marshmallow man

but last year I nearly froze

I've got my ads, the lawn chair

    my purse and my keys

get it all packed in the car

    Damn I have to pee

    As I repeat lines 7 & 8

    I finally make it out

    I'm headed on my way

Shopping is all I can think about

    I finally make it there

Im the first one in the line

Can't wait for that door to open

    After waiting all this time

More and more start to come

    we form a little pack

we starting talking about our families

and how they think we're wacked

    The many hours pass

5am is right around the bend

    adernalin is flowin'

I Just can't wait to get in

    Finally it's here

We rush in to find our gifts

    taking elbows and shoves

just to get what on our lists

When it's all said and done

and you have all of your gear

The parking lot hears your shout,

"I'm not doing this **** next year!!!"

    **REPEAT IN 2009**

    Happy BF folks

  6. I will grab things for my grandparents who are 80-85, who can't get around well and is on a tight budget, but for people that just don't want to fight throught the line or get up...........NO WAY!!!! I have enough stuff to grab on my own, and usually work out a system. You calling me at 9pm to get you something throws off my whole game, and if I don't get what I want because I am worried about getting something someone else wanted..... watch out....WW3 will happen!!!

Although I am dragging out my dh this year......oooh that's like having 4 hands and being in 2 places at one time. I can't wait!

  7. Sure!! My sister had her baby on Thursday (Thanksgiving) and was out of the hosp, shopping on Friday!!!

    ORRRRRR

Have the Doc induce the week before so you can go shopping.

They pushed my sis out a day early so she could go.

Worth a shot......... I think I would still shop in labor. Depending on how far along I was :)

Good Luck! Hope you have a beautiful labor and can get back in the lines come BF.

  8. I actually went the night before, got there at 9pm and another group of people showed up at around 11pm and then the others didn't start showing up until 4 or 5am for a 7am opening. So i could have slept for like 6 more hours!! :( but either way. They came out about 6 and handed out 7 slips for the Wii's and that was it, then we got to sit in our cars for another hour until it opened. People didn't get upset about the tickets but did get upset about a guy paying someone in our group to sit out there so when he showed back up at 6am to get his ticket it didn't go over well. Not like it would have mattered.
