  1. I have spoiled my daughter as she is my only child. But I remember when I was little only getting one big present and a couple little ones and my stocking and was happy as a lark. I like to at least have one surprise even now she’s older and you have to “stick to the list”. Lol

  2. Amazon gift cards are what we have started giving our 10-yr old nieces and nephews so they can get what they want. Not too terribly exciting but we don’t want to waste money on stuff they don’t really need or want.

I agree. We went through 2 yrs of big gift with gift card backup. DD is older now and we have more to choose from. I know we also got some very cool board games. These aren’t the ones we know... Target has a Great Wall of choices- check out Cobra Paw. It’s a speed, matching game. My daughter likes to annihilate me. Lol

  3. Spotted and made the same comments as Bluebear But then I read it’s a preview !!! This is actually the only store I love going into. Everyone is so nice and helpful (customers not staff) just like the olden days of BF shopping when we all sat around and talked during the hours of waiting !
  4. I was curious about the VR for the PS4. There is a second version of the VR. So, maybe the first version is what you are seeing as being discontinued. I would be curious what the version that's on sale for BF. I can't see the model number in the picture; it's way too blurry. I think I'm headed in that direction instead of the Oculus. He also said that he read that the VR will be compatible with the PS5 when it's released.

I would like to know this also.

  5. I'm glad I'm not the only one that names our robot vacuums! The first one was Rosie, the current one is Mega maid.

We currently have the Shark Ion 750. It came with magnetic strips that you mark off boundaries with. So that we can mark off the bathroom where there is more likely to have cat messes. Or... Under desks, sofas, etc. We pick up the small throw rugs that we have learned she gets caught on. But it sure is nice to not have fur and cat litter on the edges of all the walls now!

No cat fur or litter on the floor or in the corners

Sounds like a wonderful dream !! Lol

  6. Who has a real tree? I want to decorate BF weekend (or the weekend after) but I'm 90% sure my tree will be dead by Christmas. Any tips on how to keep it alive for a month?

We really don’t have an issue ever with it not lasting until after Christmas. We buy ours in Black Friday. Here is what I always do- When you are looking so the “hand test”. Put your hand around a branch and close your hand and pull your hand towards you - if any needles come off in your hand the tree is already dehydrated and pass on it. We always have water and never put it near a heat source like a fireplace or a vent. We put ours in a window where it stays cool.

One year we went when I had the flu and honestly didn’t care one iota... lol. I didn’t do the “hand test” and the tree died about 2 weeks in. The whole interior of the tree had zero needles. Lol.

  7. That one looks like it's the model below the one we have...I did a brief amount of research and it looks like the main difference is the $199 one can't be controlled over WiFi but you can control it via a remote that comes with it. It looks like you can set a cleaning schedule with this one as well. It would probably be a really good option if you don't care about having an app on your phone to control it! [emoji4][/quo

Ohhh thank you! I was dreading the research with all the work deadlines I have right now !! Your a gem [emoji122]

  8. We have the Shark Ion 750...I can honestly say it is one of the BEST investments we have ever made...we have 3 cats and without our Shark we would be drowning in cat hair!! Our home has mostly hard wood...but we also have tile and area rugs...and carpet in the bedrooms. I have it scheduled to run once a day every day. Very rarely does it get stuck on anything or vacuum up anything it shouldn't. We purchased it last BF and it has ran every single day since then without any issues. I empty it about every 3 days. If you have have funds in the budget for it, I say get it- you won't regret it. We are having a new home built and I am considering purchasing a second one to have for the second level of our new home.

Side note- I do HIGHLY suggest "vacuum proofing" your home before you let it start cleaning. I went around and zip tied up any cables or cords that were lying on the floor...otherwise she (yes, I refer to it as a she) will more than likely get stuck/tangled up in those.

Is the one that you have the one listed in Target’s ad for this year? $199 I think?

  9. I have seen a couple things I took a chance on an d bought now . Seeing some of the ads for BF, the price would only be a couple dollars cheaper but less stress to get them now and more selections Lol. It helps being a long time BF shopper - you Have an idea of what stores run similar sales yearly to price our early

  10. I toy with this purchase every Black Friday. I have a dog & cat with hair tumbleweeds and a family that drops crumbs like they are going to go missing! House is hardwood with area rugs and lots of open rooms. I need honest opinions and recommendations!!!
  11. :lolrun:I'll be looking for high thread count sheet sets largely discounted, also cooling gel memory foam pillow, home improvement tools and an air fryer! Those are the top 4 things on my list this year

I agree with the good sheets and pillow. Not sure when I turned into that old person with the pillow issues ....lol

Hoping for HUGE sales on Wireless Beats and the newest Barbie dream house (one with slide per my daughter :runaway:). A GOOD sale on a specific lego set my daughter wants, but probably won't get anything too great as Legos never get great sales or are excluded from coupons! Would love a sale on Birkenstocks and on Pink clothing for my oldest niece. Nothing HUGE, but all adds up!

I will join you on the wireless Beats hope train! I need two pair
  12. Oh lord. I have started repeating to myself that I do not need another throw. :)

Lol. I was thinking the same thing. But black cats? I do t have a Halloween one. Heeheehee

Hehe!! Sale starts Wednesday. I got $10 KC yesterday, so I guess that's what I'll be spending it on.

I also started looking at the St Nicholas Square throw blankets. Those aren't as plush, but still nice. And they have a gingerbread design... On a blue background! That matches all my "stuff".

Then I did the usual search on 'gingerbread'. And now I have 4 gingerbread items in my cart. In September. Trying to convince myself I don't need to buy them yet, they will be on sale again before they are relevant.

You guys are killing me. Now I want the gingerbread one also. I have already distributed older ones to pets. It’s a sickness at this point. Lol

  13. As the DD gets older the list is ever changing and complicated by a girl who never really wants anything.... the Ulta online is always a beating; Kohl's early ordering was amazing and Wa-Mart has to be done online and like the other post said- in store also for nostalgic reasons. I feel old now telling my stories or BF past- the hunt for the paper on Thanksgiving (we stole ours from the yogurt store that was closed ); the extreme wake up; the collection of ads in the car and in my pockets; the FOMA of it all.... lol. I do love online though !!
