  1. Not Christmas but great finds all in the health beauty section:

Conair illuminated 2 sided mirror - marked $39.99 - rings up $3.99. Look high its in a tall reddish colored box.

Conair hair accessories in a clear and white box marked $9.99 - rings up .99. It has a headband, 2 hair clips and a ponytail holder.

Revlon flat iron in a black nylon bag with a strap - not marked but its $1.99

Two different jeweled hair beaders both $1.99. One is As seen on tv and the other may be Conair.

Travel sized bottles of Dove moisturizing shampoo - .09

I wish I would have bought the makeup kits last week because that along with the mirrors would be great gifts for next year.

  2. my cvs had the coupon & machine but were not selling it for the sale price but the original 59.99 price - they said something about not being able to do the sale price anymore - apparently they gave some1 the sale price and took the whole $50 off the coupon - thats the cashiers fault though!

Same at the stores I tried. Either you use your card, pay the $29.xx and get the $20 ecb or you don't use your card only the coupon and get it for $9.xx and no ecb.

The manager tried to override it and enter the coupon manually but after voiding and reringing over and over, she couldnt get it to work.

  3. I went to Kmart Wed night, picked out stuff and went to the layaway dept. It was closed. Ok, they close at 7 pm so I should have checked first. Went on Thurs around 6 pm, went straight to layaway before I did any shopping - it was closed again. I went back on Sat morning - still closed.

Apparently its not meant for me to layaway clothes at Kmart.

I drove across the street to Burlington Coat Factory and found much nicer stuff and layway was open.:g_thumbri

Thank you Kmart for not having your layaway dept open, you did me a big favor :)

  4. Last year I know there were people getting robbed at gunpoint during the wee hours of the morning so people taking cash - be careful!

I wear jeans and sneakers and keep my credit/debit card in my pocket. Thats about it. Its never really cold enough in SC around BF to worry about coats, gloves, etc or either my adrenaline is pumping and I just don't get cold :)

  6. You don't need a card to get the summer items that are clearanced. There may be shelf tags that have the % off but if you think its summer - get the item scanned anyway. Some have posted that anything with a "fun in the sun" tag is considered summer but my store said those folding chairs that come in the bag weren't on sale. I should have asked them to scan one - shoot!
  7. Found the Igloo coolers at 90% off. The shelf tags are still listed at the reg prices (14.99 - 29.99).

Only other summer items left are swimming stuff, bubbles and whiffle bat/balls.

I got the plastic chairs and side tables yesterday for .69 and .79 and some cute chips and dips bowls, plates, goblets and tumblers .19 & .29

Think I have covered most stores in my area so I may give up. I was looking for a grill and the Kingsford charcoal. I should have grabbed them at 75%.

  8. 75 % off summer stuff at the CVS in Corona, CA. I was there yesterday, and they had 2 very large gas grills marked down to $62. They looked like 3 burners with a side burner. The box was very heavy. I picked up a 28,000 btu grill for $24.99 marked down from $99. There were other htings scattered around the store.

I saw a huge grill today but knew that it wouldn't fit in my car so I thought it would be best not to alert them that the last grill may be on sale. I didn't want the cashier to buy it. I'll go back tonight with the truck and then ask them for a price check.

  9. I agree with the other posters - if you are set on the colors, then buy the dresses now while they are on clearance (Sears, Dillards and JC Penneys). Now is also a good time to buy summer shoes because they are on clearance also.

Joann's, Michaels and Hobby Lobby are good places to look for clearance deals and they also have coupons out every week. My friend is getting married on Sat and she bought her tiara, artificial flowers, altar decorations, etc from those stores last year and kept them in storage crates in her basement.

If you have a good printer, make your own invitations.

Walmart and Publix both have bakeries so consider getting your cake made at a grocery store, the cakes start around $100

Have fun and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

  10. I should know better than to shop w/o reading these posts first! I bought the cereal, spent $10 got $5 rr then did a separate transaction for the nurtrigrain bars $10 and used the $5 rr for that transaction! I forgot all about the Kelloggs rebate!!!!

Oh well, next trip I'll have my coupons from Sunday's insert and $5 rr so that will make the deal a little sweeter.

  11. Heading to my 3rd store in a few! So far I have found:

    am/fm clock radio - 2.49

    bagged candy - .12 - .37

    4 pk D batteries .49 - .87

    4 pk C batteries .49 - .87

    epsom salt .99

    rubbing alcohol .44

infant kit with nose suction, fingernail clippers, comb, etc 2.49

    pocket size tissues .09

    ibrupropen .99

    hot/cold patches

    vinyl gloves .49

    4 pk 35 mm film 1.62

    single roll 35 mm film

    styrofoam cups .39

    Saw but didn't buy:

tons of vitamins, diapers, sunscreen, adult diapers, "Rogaine" type hair regrowing products, teeth whitening trays, Mira bath products, writing tablets, envelopes, toothbrushes, dental floss and "Benadryl" type spray.

  12. I am not sure if you can put clearance items on layaway. If they do, it may be a good idea to get as many of this collection as you want while they still have it. My DD put an armoire and crib on layaway (at full price) and now the changing table has been clearanced out and we can't find one anywhere. She should have put all the pieces on layaway at the same time. Oh well.
