    I hate rebates!

I totally agree with you. Sometimes I pass on some items only because they have rebates.
  3. My daughter has the Ipad2 in layaway since the first day they open it. Do you think if we go with the ad they will give her the $50 itune card?
  4. On Nov.13th Sears F&F will have the LG 47 class LED tv cheaper than Walmart. It will be at Sears for $665. I think this year the sales are not that great as prior years. I was hoping again for the iTunes card and better sales on TVs.
  5. My favorite thing is the excitement of wake up super early (maybe this year don't even go to bed at all) be in line with my attack plan, and get ALL the items that I want from all the stores. It is my own satisfaction and mission accomplished to get everything and so far I have been successful every year. Also, the snow globe from JCPenney.
  6. Picture #1 (Lady with the tan umbrella) I'm pretending that I'm looking for my daughter in the line and I will stand at the beginning of the line to see what happens. Picture #2 OK ready? I give the thumb up, then you open the door and we run to the back of the store. Picture #3 Mom, the guy behind me was trying to take away the BB ad that I have in my plastic bag and I said NO WAY, now he is crying. What should I do now?
  7. My daughther went this morning, she was there at 8:45am to put on layaway an Ipad2, she had to wait until 9:00am. They had only one left in white 16gb (that was exactly the one that she wanted). She was the only one at the Layaway dept. at that time.
  8. I never go to BB on black friday. But for what I have heard, some people start lining up on Thursday and by an hour before they open, the line is around the building.
  9. I love it there. Outside the mall you have Target, Dicks, Best Buy, TRU, Michaels, and like two driveways down is Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, ACMoore and Home Depot. At the mall you have Sears, JCPenney, Macys, The Disney Store, The Apple Store, Lord and Taylor and other great stores. Always calm, people polite no fights.
  10. Rockaway Mall in Rockaway, New Jersey.
  11. Half Price Books - October 14th
  12. I also got the Itunes cards last year. They had a Compaq laptop for about $250 and good deals on TVs. I wasn't in the market for tvs but this year I am and hoping they have it again before BF. They usually have it the first Saturday of November.
  13. Last year me and my daughter were in line at Target. My daughter's husband was working the night shift and he went to Target to talk to us for a little while. He works for JCP&L the power light company and he parked this big ass truck in the middle of the parking lot. Then he walked toward us and said out loud, OK everybody can go home now there is no power at Target. OMG, everybody started to scream, then he said OH NO NO, I'm just joking. We were laughing so hard for about 10 mins. You have to see the look on people's face. That has been the funiest and best memory by far at Black Friday.
  14. Thank you, you saved me a trip. I was planning to stop by on my way home today at Rockaway.
  15. Rockaway Mall, NJ was 75% today.
  16. Walmart had last weekend the ITunes cards $50 for $35 limit 2 per person. I got two of them. That deal was better than BB.
  17. LOVEEEEE the ad. Target was never my number one store on BF, but this year will be. I will be ending with few free gift cards if I get everything that I have in mind. Gracias Brad you just made my day (or night)
  18. Thank you for the tip. I just did it and I got them immediately. I'm going for the Insignia Camcorder bundle.
  19. The famous puertorrican dish Arroz con Gandules (Rice with Pigeon Pea). You can eat it all year around, but mostly is made around X-mas. Ingredients 2 green bell peppers, diced 1 onion, chopped 6 cloves garlic, minced 1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce 1 (.25 ounce) package Spanish seasoning 3 cups uncooked brown rice 2 (15 ounce) cans pigeon peas, drained 6 cups boiling water Directions Place green peppers, onion, garlic and cilantro in a blender or food processor, puree. This mixture is called soffrito, it is your seasoning base. It can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to 6 months. Place 3 tablespoons olive oil and 6 tablespoons soffrito in an 8 quart saucepan. Cook for 3 or 4 minutes to release oils. Pour one can of tomato sauce and the Spanish seasoning packet into the saucepan, mix well. Add 3 cups rice to the mixture and stir until the rice is coated. Stir pigeon peas into the mixture and add boiling water. Cover the pot with aluminum foil and a pot lid. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 45 minutes or until rice is tender.
  20. YAY!!! I got my confirmation that I can pick up the Wii bundle that I bought online at 3:30am on black friday :) I ordered it site to store and saved $12.97. This is the first time that I order from walmart.com on black friday, and the whole experience has been great. No complains, they kept me informed by email about the status of the order. I will do it again next year, if I have to.
  21. The ad is out. There is a list in another site.
  22. I just bought the Magellan GPS online and it took 5% off from the sales price. The price came out better than black friday. I selected the PickUp in store to save shipping, and it says available later today, only 7 available at my store. I was about to buy the TomTom at Target on black friday, but after reading reviews, I decided not to. Now I can do my first stop at Kohls at 4:00am instead of Target or Sears
  23. I want the TomTom gps and I planning to get there on Friday about 3:00am.
  24. Yeap, me too. I have been trying since 6:00am today, and nothing.
  25. Coquito Puerto Rican coconut-rum beverage Coquito is a popular Christmas beverage in Puerto Rico. It has similarities to American eggnog, but the use of creme de coco or coconut milk gives it a unique island flavor. 4-6 servings Cinnamon sticks -- 2-3 each Water -- 2 cups Sweetened, condensed milk -- 1 (14-ounce) can Evaporated milk -- 1 (12-ounce) can Crème de coco (for example, Coco Lopez) -- 1 (12-ounce) can Rum -- 1-2 cups Ground cinnamon -- for garnish Method Place the cinnamon sticks and water in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 5-10 minutes to infuse the water with the flavor of cinnamon. Remove the cinnamon sticks and set the flavored water aside to cool. Whisk the cooled cinnamon water, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and crème de coco together. Chill well. To serve, stir in the amount of rum desired, pour into glasses and garnish each serving with a pinch of cinnamon.
