  1. What do you do every year to get ready for BF the 24 hours before it begins?

Ours starts on Thanksgiving day. DH goes and gets a hard copy of the ads. The kids sit at the table and make out thier definate wish lists for Santa after dinner. Later in the night I make sure I do not need to change anything in my game plan. I usually stay up because I am to excited to sleep. About 2:30 I wake up DD and we both get dressed for our day and go over our game plan and the BF rules lol. We head to Longview or Tyler (both are 30 minutes away from us), and stop on the way and get Vanilla cappuchino's.

  2. This is the thread from last year. I would copy and paste it all but well I am lazy lmao. So just if anyone has questions about the things in the other thread post it here not there because noone is going to see it there since it is in the old forum.

Jodi (rabx5) is the OP I believe on the angel ornaments and then Paula actually did some and posted the pictures for us to see.

  3. Is the one day of the year I do not carry a purse at least early in the morning. I have my debit card, cell, and, keys. DD usually carries the ads and the list. Last year we wore shorts! Usually we wear sweats and a tshirt or jeans and a tshirt.

Am always blown away by some of the women in line that took a lot of time to get dressed lol. We look presentable but just barely lmao. If I could get away with wearing my pj pants trust me I would. ;)

  4. Are there instructions for this? I see fabric on sale all the time at Hobby Lobby.

http://www.mystuffbags.org/blanket.htm This is the one I use and I use a rotary cutter it goes a LOT faster than cutting. I am debating doing these for teachers this year but I think it may be more than I want to bite off at the moment.

I am also thinking about doing the angel wings ornaments that someone posted here last year.

  5. We have always done real but DH and I have talked seriously about flipping to a fake. We always hate cleaning up after the real ones. If we did decide to go with the fake we would have to take the kids to the Christmas tree farm every year to get a wreath or something lol. If not they would throw a fit.
  6. Gee another one I think that everyone is going to be just shocked about lmao... Disney stuff. We have a lot of other things but this year DH and I decided we are going to get rid of the rest I do not really like it that much anyway and since we are about to move it is as good a time as any. So starting this year we will have a just Disney tree. I will keep the kids special ornaments in a box and some of the other "special" things. I also collect those paint your own village things from Walmart. We have them from many years past that the kids and their friends have painted. We always buy a few more when there are new ones we really like or they go on 90% off at Walmart.
  7. I am in again as well. Also would not mind being an elf too ... I had a great elf in Bayhaysay last year and would like the oppurtunity to do the same! Well I guess that is not the way it should be put. If I am needed to be one I would be glad to help ;) but of course I hope no elves are needed.
  8. Well we always go the day after Thanksgiving (after shopping) or the weekend after to the Christmas tree farm and cut down a tree. We usually put at least the lights on that night.

Christmas eve we let the kids open one present each and then we go to my brother in laws for Christmas eve dinner. We stay there till later in the evening come home and the kids go immediately to bed after putting out cookies and coke for Santa (he does not like milk at our house ;)). The next morning they get up whenever and we open presents and pretty much do nothing all day lol. We usually fix snack type food to eat during the day.
