I kinda had similar experiences wearing my shirt. People loved it and were asking lots of questions as if I must be some kind of authority on it since I had a shirt lol.
-
last year they had quite a few--the problem is that people will go and grab armfuls and dump them into their cart --- at least that is what i have seen.
Last year what did they have them for 2.88 and 4 or something ? Anyhow at the Walmart here they had loads left over for at least a week.

They should institute a lottery. That would quickly end Hooverville outside these stores.
I also think it is way too early to be waiting outside but there is nothing fair about a lottery, first come first serve

Dear lord I remember the year that the special Cabbage Patch Newborns were 10.00. Now I see there having the 25th Anniversary ones for $10.00!!!!!!!! OMG it is gonna be like when they first released them back in the 80s. The way the crowds were. I am not so sure I even wanna attempt to try & get one.
It says 25th anniversary newborns so I wonder if they are the same size as usual for black friday ??

Anyone ever see Boom BLOX for Wii cheaper than $40??:) please...
Its 20 bucks at Target on BF.
-
I see quite a few things to think about, but they had lots of tool kits for 5 dollars a few weeks ago which was a better deal than in the ad.
-
Ours here is always closed. If they are open this year that would be a shock.
Same here and I was very shocked but they are opened this year from 7-4.
-
In the CNN article it says the ad was leaked. I searched hi and lo on the internet and still cannot find it. Last year I found it hidden in what I think is called a tangent site. If it has been leaked I would think you would be able to find it somewhere.
I wonder how true this is.
I have tried to find it also..glad I am not the only one

The computer is probably for their Saturday special this week.

I hope they have a good selection for the webkinz thou. I went in there yesterday and they don't have enough of the new ones.
That's my only hope because I have bought a few of the webkinz care ones they carry already. So I have my fingers crossed.
-
Buy one get one free on the webkinz is a good enough deal for me :)Don't bother with the Wireless Sports video game. it is a waste of money.
Also, its doubtful they will put Webkinz on any big sale. They will hold on to those things like gold and won't mark them down too much cutting into their GP. I know from experience.

We always go to a friends neighborhood to trick or treat with her kids. We like going as a bigger group and if we went in our neighborhood, our kids would come home emptyhanded! We live on a private road and are the youngest couple by far...no other kids in our neighborhood. We went tonight and there were SO many kids out. All ages. Everyone we saw was dressed up. I agree..no costume..no treat:) We have no Halloween laws here...I guess it's too big (Jacksonville) although even though we go as a group, my husband and I still get nervous around the big groups of teenagers. We have a 3 and a 1 year old and we pulled them in a wagon. One pulls and the other walks behind so no one tries to sneak up and steal the boys' candy.
What does everyone think about an ending time? My husband and I were talking about this tonight. We remember staying out until 9 or 10 when we got a little older, but by 8pm, most people had their lights out or put their candy on the front porch to be a free for all. By 8:45 it was like a ghost town except on the main roads in the neighborhood.
I remember trick or treating till 930 or 10 also when I was a kid. However it was a ghost town by 8 !!! I was like well I guess we are done, I just love Halloween. Every year it seems like fewer people are giving out candy.
-
I love the candles in the ad and great deal on the webkinz cares.

There is a very wealthy exclusive neighborhood in my town (I do not live there for sure )
anyways people from all over would drop their kids off at this neighborhood to get the
"good stuff". A few years back they ended up hiring cops to patrol both entrances to the
subdivision to stop people that didn't live there from coming in.
I think 13 or so is a good age to stop and I do like the time limits. I myself will not answer
the door after 8pm for trick or treaters..too late. I am thinking it will be a PITA this year
since Halloween is on a Friday night
I think it is so strange all these subdivisions not wanting kids that dont live in that particular subdivision trick or treating there. Maybe I am wrong, but to me the more the merrier. I don't only want kids from my neighborhood
-
One of the local cities passed an ordiance this year to keep anyone over 13 yrs of age from trick or treating. This is because they have vandelism problems and it seems to start about this age.
Most kids I know stopped by themselves when they are 12-13. It think as this is a good age. It does bother me when older teens come to the door in what could barely be considered a costume or none at all. And when they bring a car load of kids to the subdivision because they know it is the place to get "good" treats - that really bothers me.
I wish I had your problem I never get enough trick or treaters :)

They have lots of smaller gift sets in store now, when I saw them it made me think of the deals I get there on black friday. Anyhow different tool sets from 5 - 40 dollars. -
My niece is in 5th grade and doesn't want to go trick or treating this year. My son is in 1st grade, but I don't mind teenagers either as long as they are dressed up ! I completely agree.
