It may depend on the amounts you used and the exact recipe.
Here are some different recipes from Alton Brown...he had an entire show of good eats telling which ingredients helped do what but unfortunately I cannot find a link to it at all.

I always use real butter and sometimes I melt it first, other times I cream it from a softened form. That does effect the cookies texture.

Their stuff is sooooo cute. But the quality....not so good, IMO.
We have spent hundreds of $$ on their stuff because DD LOVES it. But honestly it fades and pulls so quickly........This surprises me. We have a ton of their socks and my dd never had an issue. I have quite a few pairs too and only had a small issue with one 3pk...it was a bit smaller than the other 3 pks. Otherwise I thought they were a good quality. I still have my pairs and my dd still has quite a few of hers.
We have gloves and slippers too...all have lasted really well.

If you do use the almond bark, make sure you have vegetable shortening on hand like Crisco. I usually melt white chocolate or chocolate that I get packaged in grocery stores this time of the year. I think it melts better. But a few weeks ago, I used white almond bark and it got odd quickly. I googled and found out I could have thinned it a bit with vegetable shortening. It would have made it smoother.
One other easy thing you can make with almond bark are cake balls. You make sheet cakes and then add a can of frosting. Mold into balls, refrigerate or freeze and then dip into melted chocolate. They take a bit of time because you have to make a cake and let it cool and then mix in the frosting and roll into bowls and then frig or freeze AND THEN dip but are really easy. And you can make any kind of cake with any kind of frosting.

I have a runner from there also in a mid brown.
I know for a while all they had was a sort of pink for rugs...since I didn't need one, we just waited. But I know the last time I was in ours, the selection was pretty good. Hopefully yours will have what you are looking for.

Check Menards. They have some rolled up that are bound, typically in solid colors for a really good price. I just got a chocolate brown one that is about 5x8 or so and was less than 20.
I have also found good deals at Pier 1 for clearance rugs.

Target has a large selection of frames...I just found a large one with multiple levels in it so the result is 3D ish...

My dh picked up a set from a acquaintance that was getting a nicer set and wanted to unload his old set. It is a great way to get a nice set at a cheaper price.
I personally think that if he is used to golfing with Callaways now, he will not be happy with a cheaper set. Check a golf shop for used sets or pawn shop..or even golf shops may direct you to someone who wants to unload a nice set because they got a new set.

Can someone help me understand what is xm radio? Is it something that you add to your radio in your vehicle?
XM/Sirius is satellite radio. You buy a radio that you add into your vehicle. In some vehicles, it comes as an extra. XM had a deal for quite a while, periodically, where if you signed up for the service for x amount of time, you got a free radio, base level of course.
Satellite radio is great if you travel or spend any time in your vehicle or in your house for that matter. I loved it when I traveled state wide. No more searching for stations because I could pick up my favs wherever I was.
We recently dumped it cuz we disliked the billing immensely. We had more than one issue with them and dealt with it when we wanted the radio. But now that I no longer travel, we dumped it. And as we were dumping it, of course we are dealing with billing issues again.

It would depend on what you had as extras. We have had xm for years..just canceled and we paid about 150 for 2 radios for a year. We had nothing but the basic.

They didn't call it global last year if I remember correctly..it had some other name. And perhaps they are doing it later to further change that name and perception. But yes, I remember it being now also.

I bought my nephew the VSmile cyber pocket for xmas on 12/23 and now I find out its 50% off... ugh
You can buy the new one and then return one with the old receipt. But no, they will not adjust if I remember correctly.

That is what EVERYBODY from the Midwest says....and that is where WalMart started, right? So you must have a higher standard for WalMart there. Here it is the SCUM store. EVERY SINGLE WALMART. Even in the good areas....the shoppers the workers...the WHOLE atmosphere. YUCK!!!!!
Now I will shop there...but I go in EARLY. And I'm out of there early. And it isn't so bad. But go after a long day....that store is TORE UP!!!!
Walmart started in Arkansas.

Just a thought...but you know how much you love to shop to find and give the gifts? This family probably does too but is unable to do so. By giving them gift cards, you are giving them the gift to be able to buy things their family has wanted throughout the year. You gave them the most valuable gift...the gift of being able to do something they really wish to do.

Typically yes. You can either be straightforward and ask their help or you can measure your pd yourself. The glassyeyes blog gives great info on how to do it yourself.

how do you get the right fit when you order the glasses on line?
You can also look inside the glasses that you currently own and on the inside of one of the temples, should be 3 #'s similar to these: 135, 52, 17. The 135 is your temple length, the 52 is the width of your lense and the 17 is the width of the nose area. Occasionally there is another number that will denote the height of the lense.

1. Unless he doesn't care to download any additional patches etc, you should not consider the Arcade version. It is the cheapest because it is the most limiting.
2. You can add memory but the hard drive you can purchase runs about $150, so basically you should upgrade immediately.
3. If he is a gamer, he will appreciate the Elite. Plenty of storage for maps and patches and other fun stuff.
4. Seems like not many deals on any of the major game systems Wii etc....however, I guess one never knows for sure.
5. I personally would never purchase a refurbished unless it had a heck of a warranty. Have owned an Xbox 360 since it came out and ds loves his games...which means we have owned at least 4 xbox 360s and are finally pleased with the Elite (knock on wood) that it hasn't died on us as of this writing.
6. I wouldn't buy the Arcade version. I am pretty sure for Halo and Oblivion, there are patches, maps, upgrades etc for which he would need the memory.

Unfortunately, taking him shopping or buying several different brands are your best option.
I had a similar issue and still take my kids to several stores to find the brand that fits them the best. And it doesn't matter if one brand fits one year as they change the cut. I know this year my dd and I had to go to several places to find a good fit. One place stopped carrying the cut that fit her.
Slim are probably the way to go along with the adjustable waists. But keep trying different places too. Although Gap and Old Navy are owned by the same company, their cuts are a bit different.

I have ordered from zenni optical and was happy with the prescriptions on both occasions. I did go a bit wild in my ordering tho and am not as happy with the frames in one instance and the tinting in another. Both instances are my fault. I also ordered a pair of glasses for my son. The prescription is good and we have no complaints about that pair at all.
Just this week I ordered from 39dollars and used the link at glassyeyes to get a $20 discount. Am currently waiting on those glasses.
The blog listed above gives a lot of tips and tricks to understanding your own prescription. I have worn glasses for many years and this is the first time I have truly understood what is up with my eyes.
Otherwise, from what I understand, Walmart often does have the cheapest and best deals for B&M stores.
