  1. If you need to buy a new monitor and don't want to spend more than $400, get 2005fpw. But I would not buy it if you're using it to replace the 1900fp. It's definitely not worth the "upgrade." Like I said, I think it's more cramped (I think it actually is vertically smaller than the 1900fp). I should note that part of the reason why I'm happy with the 2405fpw is because I use it almost every day (even if it's just to check my email). It's not like a $500 video card that I would not get much use out of other than to play a few games and have the satisfaction of knowing that I have a bad-ass, soon to be obsolete video card (I don't have a $500 video card, btw).
  2. Even if you can’t justify it logically, I can tell you that the added real estate on the 24” is very much worth the extra cost. To me, the 2005fpw felt more cramped than the 1905fp. 24” is enough that it actually allows you to do “widescreen tasks” such as having windows next to windows. You really can’t do that with the 2005fpw – the best you can achieve is WinAmp next to a window. Plus the 2405fpw has a better quality screen. The 2405fpw is capable of displaying HD video, save for the fact that it does not have an HDCP-capable DVI. That would be a reason to wait for the 2407wfp or whatever replaces it. Keep in mind that a few years ago, a 19” cost $700. At $824.25, you will not be disappointed with the 2405fpw.
  3. I've avoided Amazon for a while; Buy.com often has similar prices but they ship very quickly. However, I did order two things last week that shipped very quickly, so maybe they're getting better. I thought it was because I complained last time and got put on some "don't mess with this guy list." They literally sat on my order for four days before I complained and they "upgraded" my shipping. I understand media mail can take a while, but they literally stalled on my order for days before even shipping.
  4. I have a new set of Z-5500s that I'd be willing to sell for $215 shipped in the US (48-contiguous states). No tax outside Kansas. Unlike Amazon, I will ship it quickly, same day if possible. PM or email me if interested.
