Last year, I was joking with my 5 yo nephew about what he wanted for Christmas. I decided he needed a Barbie and he was like no, no, no (laughing along of course) so I got him a cheap dollar store barbie type doll and wrapped it along with the Power Rangers Karate thing he really wanted. When he opened the doll, he cried . I felt so terrible but his folks were in on the joke and laughed their butts off.

We go to my in-laws on Christmas Eve. When we are heading out to go I always "forget something" and sneak into the boys room and leave a gift and a note from Mrs. Clause. The note telling them that she left this gift to help them get to sleep before Santa gets here. I will usually get stuffed animals or new blankets or pillows, things like that. Now they are ready to head home as soon as I say its time and rush right into their room when we get home. It sure makes it easier to get them into bed. Also, the in-laws always give them new pajamas and we have them put them on and model them for us while we are still at their house, that way they are already in their pajamas when we get home.

Last year, I did my BF shopping for TRU and Kaybee toys online on Thanksgiving night (after midnight) and the Friday morning deals were applicable for me. I hate to admit I still went to Target at 4AM with my friend even though there wasnt anything there I wanted. It's tradition lol.

I carry a purse but, I make sure it has long straps and I put it over my shouler across my chest (so that the actually bag is sitting right in front) underneath a too big coat (its usually pretty frigid that morning). You would have to rip my coat off to get to it lol.
