We get the paper daily, and our Walmart ad this year was in Wednesday's paper. All the others came in the paper Thursday. Probably not a good move on Walmart's part if that was planned to get their sales info out there early, because many people only buy the paper occasionally. I actually started looking for it in Thursday's paper and then remembered that it had come the day before. Guess those "specials" didn't leave too great an impression on me.

They were doing this at my local Target yesterday too. I'm not sure how well it worked, because after seeing that huge line, and over-hearing there were three registers open in electronics, I headed back there to 3 reasonable lines. I have to commend Target for their management of the outside lines pre-opening. They had police and several Target security personel out there. The security guy went all around the line, which ended up going down the side of Target, across a parking lot, and up the side of Dick's, telling people where stuff would be. He said to not run, but walk fast; not to take anything from anyone's cart; and that they'd do their best to keep the people who were sitting in their cars, or just hovering around the front from rushing the doors. They did! It wasn't until every single person who bothered to line up was in the door until they let the other folks in. Everyone was well behaved from what I could tell. Good job, Target!

I received the PA with no problem on the Olevia 37"! :) Regarding the portable dvd players in NC - is it possible that store didn't end up selling that particular dvd player? Our ad here in middle TN was different than the scan here on GottaDeal. I'm thinking there must have been some regional changes, as ours advertised and carried a 6.2" portable dvd player for $54 on Friday. The 10" players never showed up here. For this reason I opted for the 8" player at Walmart instead. Darn! I was hoping to totally boycott WM yesterday, but I wanted that bigger screen.

My local store had 19 of the Olevia 32" in stock.

Went in to check here today too. I wanted to view the floor model, but they didn't have one out. The guy said they did have them ready for the sale tomorrow morning. My local store has 19 in stock. He said he expected it to be a little crazy back in electronics tomorrow. Not necessarily for the TVs, but for the Wii. Hope I can get in and out quickly with a TV.
