Thanks for the post, I've been wanting to try this!
-
Awesome! I'll be loading up!
-
If only we had a code for shipping.....
-
I would surely have the thing paid for in 3 years!
I'm kinda nervous about doing this deal only b/c of having to return such a high priced item but I think we'll try it out today! Thanks for all the great input!
-
Well, that just seems great to me. I think I finally convinced my husband to give it a try so we may head over there tomorrow. We may have to do the projector thing since the temptation of not returning the TV may be too great! =)
I'll let you know how it works. The whole thing does make me nervous though, I hope I'm not trying to rip them off here. But, I figure if they allow it then it must be ok.
Surely I'd have it paid off before the 3 year period is up but at least I know I have 3 years! Thank you so much for your help!!

You can buy both a laptop AND a tv on the same receipt and you will get everything under the 3-years no-interest promotion. Don't open the tv and just return it a day or two later. :)
For the sake of disclosure, I gotta say that i DO have a best buy credit card and it is what I use for those kinds of purchases.... although I am not sure whether it is necessary to use one for this kind of deal.
I also would like to point out that in order to qualify for the promotion, the tv needs to cost at least a $1000. Keep this in mind to make sure you have enough credit line.
Instead of a tv, I would also suggest asking whether they have a qualified projector. As long as the projector cost at least $1000, it should qualify for the promo as well. A projector box is significantly easier to carry out of the store than a tv box.
In this way, you get 3 years no interest on your shiny new laptop... and all you have to do is carry out and then return a measly tv/projector. :)
As an aside, I'd like to point out that BBuy will have this promtion every year in the 3 weekends prior to the Super Bowl.
Last year, they also did this kind of promotion in the 2 weeks surrounding Memorial Day.... although this was the first one i've seen them do around this time so i'm not sure if it's an every year thing.

Are you serious?? First, will they really refund a $1000 item?? So basically I'm buying like $1800 worth of stuff but returning $1000 of it and still getting the 3 years no interest?? WOW. That is a good deal. Are you sure this works, that's quite a gamble!

Newegg occasionally offers 12-months-same-as-cash through Bill Me Later (currently, the deal is only for 3 months)
Here are a few places that are offering 6-months-same-as-cash through Bill Me Later:
http://shopping.billmelater.com/offers/6months.html
Fujitsu makes nice laptops, best known for the 14.1" size and SMALLER. CyberPower offers plenty of "cutting edge" laptops. JR Music & Computer World and PC Universe have laptops...
I bought my HP laptop directly from HP.com with 6-months-same-as-cash. I've been sending them payments anyway, I owe them $160.00 before March. They still have this offer going too.
Thanks, I'll check out those places. I've built a few on hp.com too....I think I just need to do it and get it over with!

12 months no interest would work too. It doesn't have to be BB, that's just where I found the one I wanted but I'm sure I could find it somewhere else. I just would like the no-interest thing for as long as humanly possible! =)
-
Thanks guys! I'll check out dell for sure. I keep building computers there and then canceling, I just need to pull the trigger but I hate paying for these stupid things... =)
-
I know they've been running a deal on no interest for 3 years for TV's but, I need a laptop. So, here's the question, do they ever run no interest for 3 years on computers? I was going to go buy one but if they do run that kind of a deal then I can wait. Has anyone seen this before?

That totally ROCKS! Congrats!!

I didn't check the baby stuff by me, stink, guess that means I'll be going back to Target! =)
I did walk down the toy isle that had 75%, most of it was junk but I found a bathtub aquadoodle mat that was $19.99 for only $4.68! My son loves it!
-
If you bought the stuff when it was 50% off, they do price adjuments! I just e-mailed them what I needed adjustments on.....I'll get $15 back!
-
In Sundays paper there was a coupon for $2.25 off Electrasol dishwasher tabs. They are on sale this week at Target for $2.66 for a 26 tablet box and walmart has the electrasol powerball tabs(20 count) for $2.88. Some of the boxes at WalMart had 25% more free(25 for the price of 20!). I got 16 boxes of tabs today.
WHOA! 16 boxes! That's a lot of dishwashin'! :) What a steal though!
-
I went into our target at 50% and there wasn't much there at all. All the good christmas sets were gone all that was left was chocolate.....of course, I bought that.
-
This is a good deal, wish I wouldn't have just bought 10 new towels!
-
Does Old Navy go up to 75% off on items? I thought I would wait a little longer to make any purchases.
I've seen this before in stores. The only problem is there selection at that point stinks. You can usually find a lot at the 50% off but any higher than that and you are stuck with either size 1 jeans or size 22! :)
-
Ok, crap, nevermind. The 15% off code is only valid 1/14-1/27....ok, I guess I should have read the fine print. Stink.
-
I have a code for 15% that I got in the store. It says to enter code 1899 at checkout, if you can stack it then that would be nice!
-
Does anyone know if these places (Kodak, winkflash, etc.) crop the pictures? I have done some at CVS and when they printed in store, they cropped the pictures and cut off the dates.
I think you have to crop them yourself, I just did it through shutterfly.
FYI Shutterfly prints are now 9 cents, not sure if that will last awhile or not but it's not bad. :)
-
I saw some at Kmart and the Disney store. I think at Disney they were 25% off or something like that.
-
Got tons of stuff there yesterday...online that is. Their maternity is in this sale too!
-
This code worked for me: WELCOME1204
Add 2 oz lotion to your cart ($3.50)
Expires Jan 2, 2008
Thanks, I just used this code and it worked for me too! I went ahead and paid the $6 shipping, ugh! But, I really don't feel like dragging my two-year-old through a mall full of people!
-
So, if you do this online, you have to order something as well?? I just joined the insider thing but I haven't gotten the e-mail about this.
