Ok, CVS Newbie here... my CVS has the Nova thing for $40ish, and I've got the $50 coupon in the booklet. So I understand that I can walk out of there with it for free. What I don't understand is how there's $20 extra bucks. I have the extra care card. Do I need anything else for the $20 to appear? I'm so new to CVS. What form does the $20 take? How much longer will they be doing this? Someone said until tomorrow (12/8)--sound riight? That gives me a day to get this figured out. TIA

Sales person said it was not part of the 50% off sweaters sale, but not only did it ring up 50% off, but they took the coupon, making the final cost $15.75. OMG!!! I'm so glad we bought more than one thinking we'd choose the color later at home and bring back the other. For this price, she might just keep both! btw - we got the card dylsar mentioned, too. They've got us hooked.

Thanks for posting. Good point--probably tabletop. He wouldn't be carrying it around anywhere. I'm guessing it will go on his bedside table. A clock would be very handy --he'd probably want that.

Looking to buy a new radio for dad. He needs presets and digital tuning as it's hard for him to tune, and definitely needs LED display instead of LCD, because his eyesight is not what it used to be. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I think I'm keeping the panasonic. I'm headed to BB today to look at the display models, since the boxes can't be opened.

I bought one of these Samsung SC-D363's at Best Buy this morning for $129. I also bought a Panasonic PV-GS39 for $159. I know nothing about these two cameras. Can anyone advise me on how to decide which one is better and which one to return? Thanks.

thanks all, someone posted on another thread about a 23" tv for a great price at wal-mart, so we picked that up. with some of the "extra" $$ we're not spending, i'm also getting the kids a second mat, since it will probably be fun to do DDR with someone else at the same time. i really appreciate everyone's advice! -dj

Their aunt and uncle just bought them the ps2, ddr, mat and all! even an eyetoy, whatever that is.... ok, now i can use the money to buy a tv to play it on....apparently ours are all so old that they have the wrong input jacks. only one input for coaxial cable. thanks for your help everyone! -dj

I like to make small talk. I spoke with w/a guy two people behind me while waiting for an MP3 player at Meijer, mentioned to him that I was headed to Radioshack after this to get their MP3 player, too, and--lo and behold--I saw him again at RS! He went to get that one, too. Good thing I didn't pay any heed to the talk of the other ladies near me in line at Meijer. They said not to bother with RS because quantities were extremely limited and it would all be gone by the time we got there, but the guy and I were the first two in line at RS and there were at least 2 dozen mp3 players there. -dj

I enjoyed Meijer, because it is a 24 hr store and we could wait inside and shop while we were waiting. I put most of what i wanted in my cart at about 3:30 a.m., and only had to wait until 5:00 a.m. for the mp3 player to be brought out. i was outta there by 5:17, in ample time to be first in line at radioshack in our local mall. hit that and sears, and still made it to office max before it opened at 7:00 a.m. wheee!!!

I got VERY lucky today and found everything on my list, and then some. I ended up buying both of the following DVD recorders for the same price after rebates (one cost more but had a bigger rebate): Lite-on LVW-1105HC and an LVW-1105GHC from two different stores. Near as I can figure, the difference is that the model with the G includes VCR Plus. Is this the only difference? Can anyone shed any light on which I should return? thx. dj
