  1. Awesome! Thanks for the heads up! I got my nephew done and one niece now done, I feel like Christmas gifts are getting marked off the list!
  2. We hit Target at about 5:50, they only had one entrance open, the one by electronics and made everyone go in, those walking up to the store had to wait until the people in line were all in before going in - they had security out there explaining the entire process to everyone, told everyone where to find the different things - compared to what I'm reading about Wal-mart, I would say my Target did an excellent job. They made it clear there would be no running, no fighting, pushing, etc - or people would be escorted out of the store. I wasn't wanting it - but the security person announced that the X-box was all sold-out, which I thought was good to tell us outside rather than inside. I think Target did a great job - at least mine did. How they handled it makes me want to make it a priority to go there again next year...
  3. I was at my Kohls prior to 5am, and being that it was rather chilly, they allowed us to go into the initial entry right outside the doors. The employees would pop their heads out every little bit to make jokes. Finally one of the ladies popped out and said she'd be unlocking all the doors and stepping back, that when her arms were down we could go in - so that both sides of the store had a fair shot at coming in at the same time. People started going on, the carts were lined up as you went in. I got really lucky and went in on the side that had the portable DVD players (that's what I was there for) and as I walked up there were about 5 left and I grabbed one, kept going and picked up stuff for my mom. By the time I got to the back of the store I heard someone say all the DVD players were gone. Yay for me! I then went and grabbed another thing on the list and then started meandering around to kill time. My mom was meeting me there, so about the time she got there I got in line so she could look around while I did the line waiting. Last year we were in line for an hour - so I was prepared for that - but they had it going fast today, and we were out at 5:45. Just in time to pull across the parking lot to Target and be in line for their opening. Overall - good experience - the employees were in great moods, I saw a number of them in the back of the store helping people find things - very nice.
  4. THANK YOU!!!! I've been looking for the Kodak Z700 and finally see that I'll be hitting Kmart on Turkey Day! I'm very relieved - go figure the one camera I'm planning to get isn't going to be on sale everywhere...oh well! At least it's on sale somewhere!! THANK YOU! This whole site, all of the people here - have been a huge help to me!
  5. well, we're in our second week of it and i love it. our list is constantly growing. we never go to the movies, so it works good for us. i think 9.99 a month is good to not have to take it back to a store and have a time limit on the viewing. i like being able to put stuff on the list before it's out too - so that we don't have to remember it around the time it comes out. We had previously cancelled movie channels because stuff we wanted to watch didn't ever seem to be on. So now we get to see the movies we want at our own pace. Love it!!!
  6. I use a spreadsheet - it helps me track ideas, as well as stuff bought and how much spent. Then I can arrange it so I can quickly see who I am still missing gifts for. For the 14 year old girl - music is good, clothes are good, accessories and purses are good. (for most 14 year old girls) Something an MP3 player if she doesn't have one and loves music. My niece is 15 and desperately wants an ipod - or money to go clothes shopping. She's not as easy to clothes shop for as she used to be. Maybe something like a mani/pedi kit - or a basket of stuff to do nails? That's another thing my niece is into - having her nails painted all the time.

    Scene It Game

We have Disney Scene It with the DVD. We got it after my aunt told me about the original Scene it game. I'm such a Disney nut - I had to get it so I could compete with my aunts and cousins. My husband was beating me - but it was fun. We ordered ours off Amazon when it was on sale over the summer. I didn't know they had version that plugged in though. I think the best I've seen it is $16.99, we bought ours at $19.99.
  8. THANK YOU! My nieces love American Girl stuff and this is going to help me get them knocked out for Christmas! Awesome!
