I agree, get her that one special gift. If you feel the need to have other things to open (which I understand), then like others said, Dollar Store, nail polish, etc. Could just decide to spend $5/paycheck til Christmas on the little extras. It will add up. And like others said also, her $$ will go much, much further after Christmas. Remember, quality vs quantity! She will be thrilled to receive her requested gift.

Target stuff is good, but I agree with Sammy too...Michaels has some surprisingly good stuff in their $1-$3 bins.

Update to the Orlando store: Closing date is 12/21. As of this past Friday, everything in there was 70-90% off. Not much left, but worth checking out.

My local store (Orlando) is closing. No exact closing date yet, but it's supposed to be before Christmas. Everything in there was 40-60% off as of Friday. Still lots of stuff left. I'll be sad when it's gone.

I don't know how many of you are interested, but last night I went to Joann's and scored veerrrry well on clearance items! You may have to search a bit and YMMV, but I walked out with a load of different ribbons, picture hooks, etc etc etc for just over $5. Some of the ribbon was 10 cents or 50 cents, picture hooks were 50cents. The deals are all over the store, in their own departments. I'm a very happy camper!

Get $1 Simplicity patterns (limit 10) at Joann's. Even if you aren't going to make something right away, it's always great to stock up for when the inspiration hits!

I managed to pick up two adorable hobo totes for myself today. One is reversible (stripes/purple), the other is natural color w/ yellow trim. Regular $9.99, clearance for $2.48. It's one of my rare finds, and I was thrilled! ;-)

Same here. Just got back from Walmart, still 50% and tons of stuff. I just picked up a few rolls of wrapping paper.

My daughter and I were in Target last night as it switched from 50% to 75%. Very cool!

I believe Walgreen's remains open 24 hrs today, at least the one closest to us.
