  1. Our Walmart doesn't have any ticket system but we also do not have any trouble like this. There's a line at the front and people just hang out and chat and then when the doors are open, we're let in. Anyone trying to walk up and do a sudden cut is stopped until the entire line that was outside waiting is in. There's no pushing, shoving, fussing, anything like that, that I've ever seen and there is even a lot of helping with people helping others get items they need if that person happens to be in a group and someone is alone. It gets crowded in electronics, but still I've never seen outright rude. Maybe it's because we're in a small southern town and there's no BB or anything else around here, I don't know, but in 8 years of BF's I've not had a bad experience. But I think it's a sad situation all around and I think Walmart could definitely have done something more to control the crowd, especially if they're aware that they don't have the most courteous of customer on a regular day, then they should know there could be trouble on a day like BF.
  2. I don't remember where it was, but a few years ago I remember someone posted a letter to Santa. I remember thinking they were the luckiest person in the world when just so happened Wal.art had everything that they were looking for available on the day after Thanksgiving. Santa must have really thought they were good that year to have talked Wal... into hooking them up like that.
  3. Walmart is the only store in my town to shop at. We have nothing else other than the grocery store. In any case, I won't be there on BF just because they have nothing at a price I want that day unless they come out with some crazy last minute doorbusters that haven't been circulated yet. Almost everything I was interested in is still the same price as it always is. Can get lots for less elsewhere if you're savvy and know how to work those discount and free shipping codes.
  4. Yea, Wal-Mart is doing LOTS of mis-information this year.

When the Toshiba HD-DVD's are spotted, they were $198. Some Wal-Marts put them out early and then the registers would not even ring them up. So the rumors were $198 for that coming weekend, when in fact the real price was $98.

So, since Wal-Mart has told all deal sites they will sue of they post deals earlier than the 19th, you can expect Wal-Mart has something really, really interesting in the works.

Only 3 days, 19 hours to go.....

Interesting is a relative term I guess. I found nothing to be of interest to me at all. Lack Luster would be much more fitting.

  5. According to a circuit city manager(personal friend), Olevia has a high return rate.:eyepoppin

We returned ours, it was horrible, it had severe ghosting on everything we tried to watch. We bought a Sylvania and it's awesome, we love it.

  6. We only have Walmart and Kroger where I'm from, I refuse to shop Walmart's groceries though as ours are actually higher on most items, if you watch the Kroger sales and especially if you play grocerygame.com, you can save TONS by shopping Kroger. The few things that my Kroger are higher than walmart on, is only by a few cents, nothing that makes it significant enough to warrant going to Walmart at all.

If you've got the time to clip some coupons, I highly recommend grocerygame.com to save on your bill.

They opened a new Target in my area last year but stupidly didn't make it a Super Target so I'm stuck buying my groceries at Wally World as the only other decent options in my area are Albertson's and Kroger - both of which are outrageous on most of their non-sale items (last week a gallon of mild was 4.99 at Albertson's-store brand).
