...sigh...to go or not to go. Could it be that they just didn't start the mark downs fist thing in the morning?
-
I made my first halloween run at 1pm this afternoon and I can't believe how much was left. A whole endcap full of ziploc's, 2 endcaps full of Bounty towels & napkins and TONS of candy. The good stuff too! Not just lollipops. Hardly any decorations and about 1/2 an aisle of costumes.
I can't get back there until late tomorrow morning so I went ahead and got a few paper towels and ziplocs but if it does go to 75% tomorrow, I plan to load up!!!
I saw a bunch of Halloween softsoaps also. Are those marked down this year? I know in the past, it's been iffy.

I wonder how they determine who gets which coupon. I got the $10 off $75 and no cards on front.

Whew! 80 pages :) I already have a few things on my list. Can't wait till Nov. 1.
I have a question, there are a few items I bought already that are on sale in this book. Does tru do price adjustments for things?? Thanks =)
They do price adjustments up to 14 days I believe. I'm in the same boat but I plan on doing a few return & rebuys so that I can apply the new purchases to the $75 total for the gift card and so I can use the coupons.

eureka easy clean 2-n-1 75% reg 59.99 now $14.98
I saw those yesterday and almost got one at 50%. I hope they still have them tomorrow. Does anyone know if they're any good? I wasn't thrilled with the Kurv that I got a few years ago.

I don't see what the big deal is about them being open except for the fact that it was probably sprung on the ee's without them expecting it. All through college, I worked for a popular chain restaurant and we were open 365 days of the year. The winter holidays were mandatory and we had to choose I think 3 of the 6 big ones to work.
Who's to say that buying wings and burgers on Thanksgiving is okay and but buying toys isn't?
-
I was just in to TRU to get my schedule and they are opening at midnight on BF and are also opening Thanksgiving day 12-6.
Woohoo! Thanks for the insider tip Rose! I've never done BF at TRU before either but if they have something I want, I'll definitely consider swinging by before I head to Target and Sears.
-
If it's true, I'd consider going there also if they have anything good. I guess that's what they're banking on.
-
I was in the store the other day and one of the cashiers said to anothe "You know we open at midnight on Thanksgiving right? We're closing on Thanksgiving and then opening at 12 that night."
Just hear say but it might help you formulate a game plan.

I saw signs at Target yesterday about them pm'ing to competitors ads. Is that something new or did they always do this?
-
The no more free shipping thing is going to be a deal breaker for alot of people. I can understand cutting back costs, but maybe lower the minimum from $75 to $50 or something.
-
I've noticed lately the scanners being 'down' in alot of the targets around here.
It's funny that you say that! It's been happening here also. ALL of the scanners in the store go down at the same time and it becomes impossible to find someone with a scanner. I was thinking that it was just a fluke but it's happening at more than one target in the area and I guess we're not the only ones.
I wonder if it's a strategy move.

Add me to the list of fed up shoppers. I was there on Sunday to buy the Wii fit and I checked on the rechargable batteries since I've been using them like crazy. DS scanned them and said they were $6.xx but I put them back because I wasn't sure they were the right kind. I went back today and they are up to $11.99.
Ridiculous.

Thanks a million Jason!!! I searched and searched and couldn't find anything on my own.
-
Thanks Jen and Leahcim! I actually got a different code after I registered: SHOP2009 for Free Shipping on any order over $10.
-
"The coupon code you entered is only valid for online purchases made with an eRepresentative. '
What am I doing wrong?
-
I did the J&J "training" thing also. I hope it turns into something for all of that training.

I've been searching for weeks and ironically enough, I just found it today. Sorry but I can't recommend it. We tried the pineapple one and my 4 yr old said it was slimy, the 6 yr old asked if he could just eat the real pineapple himself and I didn't care for it. Very chunky. At least I can submit some reports.
-
I guess I'll start this one off. Is anyone else in the Fruit2day campaign? I'm in it but I haven't been able to find that stuff ANYWHERE. I check my 3 local stores regularly and I've even checked grocery stores when we go out of town. Nuthin.
-
Thanks op! I got it this morning. They had plenty! If I hadn't seen this post, I wouldn't have found out until Monday afternoon since that's usually when I read the sunday paper.
-
I can't believe this is a hard question for me. I guess all I'm on the look out for are wii games right now. Maybe a new lamp for the living room too
-
Wow, great news! I'm VERY impressed. Persistence pays!
Now if only I could get Sears to replace my outlet that their stupid microwave melted:mad:
-
Has anyone seen the water guns get marked down yet or is that something I might have to actually pay full price for?
-
Some will, some won't, but by calling you alert employees to the sale price of an item and most likely they could buy it before you can get there to buy it. It's a good way to help the employees get the deal if the item isn't marked so calling isn't recommended......
I can't speak for all ee's but alot of them got fed up with the phone calls during the big January toy clearance and gave out wrong info just to stick it to the callers. You could get lucky and you might not.
If you really want to try, you might just want to ask if it's in stock and then if they say yes, try to confirm the price with them.
