100%!!! I generally get butter when it's on sale for $1.99/lb, although lately the sale price seems to hover around $2.49/lb. Occasionally I get lucky, and DariGold butter goes on sale for $2.49/lb while there is an active $1/1 coupon. I bake with unsalted butter, but use salted butter for everything else. I keep a supply of about 10 lbs of each, salted and unsalted butter, in my freezer, and restock only during the sales.

Aww, thank you. Many years ago I moderated kosher cooking boards and hosted chats for an online forum called Moms Online, even though I don't keep a kosher kitchen. Showing photos of our resultant items was very important in sharing recipes there. I've carried that forward ever since.

Best sales on butter, flour, etc., do seem to start mid-November. If you have freezer room, I treat those items similar to my Target gift closet. I'll stock up in November for Easter and Passover, and stock up during the winter holidays for the spring holidays. Butter freezes well and both flour and sugar keep. The only items I need to buy in season is kosher for Passover matzah and matzah meal. I do make certain to shelve or freeze items so I always grab the oldest first. And I have the ingredients on hand for when I want to get an early start.

Since Rosh Hashanah is coming up, I started a menu and recipe topic in Holiday Discussion. Rather than focusing on the one holiday, I themed it as a festive meal discussion for all of the upcoming holidays. I hope y'all will join me as you start planning your menus.

Thermoworks, the maker of the Thermapen, currently has a 20% off site wide sale going on. That includes their silicone utensils, including spatulas, spoonulas, silicon brushes, hot pads/trivets, and their mini solid silicone spatula and spoonula combinations, etc. They do usually have a decent sale for Black Friday, but I don't remember if it is site wide or focused on the Thermapen/Thermapen One. Their products are really good and worth the price, which does tend to be a little higher than at stores such as Bed Bath and Beyond.

Erev Rosh Hashanah, the first night, starts at sunset on Sunday, September 25th this year. Traditionally, two challah loaves are served. This year I've decided to do one regular egg challah for dipping into the honey and to use for sandwiches with any left. The second is going to be a plum jam and rosemary challah. Since the jam will keep up to a month in the refrigerator, I made a batch on Wednesday so it is ready to go. It was a little thin when I bottled it, but it is thickening nicely with refrigeration. I managed to get two clean old preserves jars and slightly more than half of a four oz. jelly jar out of the batch. Here's the recipe for the jam and the challah for anyone interested. I love my Thermapen MK4 and my Smoke X2 for temperature controlled cooking, but since learning about the completely wireless probe thermometers which can supposedly be fully submerged in liquid, such as the Meater, I've seriously been wanting to check them out. But, at their cost, I'll need at least a50% off sale, so I'm not expecting to get one.

Up to your edit, that's how Torrid Cash tends to work as well, although they've been giving out free Cash as incentives lately. I've been mostly gifting it to others, or leaving it unspent. I haven't seen an option to convert it to rewards; I would also do that in an instant.

My headphones broke several weeks ago. I usually get the cheapest wireless pair for around $20 at Walmart. I had $60 in cash back rewards on my credit card, so decided to use that towards better sounding headphones. I found a pair which normally sells for $120 lightening deal for $70. After tax,I paid ~$20 out of pocket. I received them same day for free, and the difference in sound is amazing.

Spent the day at the hospital. Had a follow up visit with my hematologist and then spent seven hours in emergency trying to track down the reason for the severe left hip pain I've had for over two weeks. X-rays and CAT scan confirm an old lumbar fracture I had no idea about, but current pain source is unknown. Prescribed muscle relaxant and PT, and hope for the best. I'll continue to see my chiropractor as well.

I need to replace my $20 Bluetooth headphones that I've used for a couple of years. The wire to the left side apparently detached, and I don't see a way to open it to reattach it.I would like to move up in audio fidelity and physical construction, I hear better sound and they'll hopefully last far longer. But, being summer and substitute jobs drying up until September, I have to be even more budget conscious. If anyone knows of a pair of Bluetooth headphones going on sale during Prime Days for less than $100 which should meet my requirements, please point me towards them, as well as instruct me on how to not miss them, as this is my first time taking part in Prime Days.
