  1. I just saw that the Kindle Fire 7inch is on sale today only at Amazon for $119, with $40 off the price of Amazon Prime if you buy (so $59 instead of $99). The price for the tablet itself will be lower on Black Friday (109.99 is what I've seen at Toys R Us and Staples), but I doubt that Amazon Prime will be cheaper. Anyone use Amazon Prime? I honestly don't know how much my daughter will use it, and the Kindle is for her, but if people love the Amazon Prime service, I might buy the Kindle today. So many choices!! Thanks!
  2. I appreciate the help--the Kindle Fire is what we had been considering before the ads came out. I just wasn't sure if the difference between screen sizes between the Fire and the larger tablets would make much of a difference. I only have experience with the 10in tablet size. We will head to a store and check out several sizes of tablets to see what makes the most sense for her. Thanks for the advice!
  3. My 7 year old wants to try out a tablet of her own this year. She plays games mostly, including reading and coloring games, which is why I'd like to get her a larger tablet (~10in) instead of a smaller one. I've been looking over the black friday ads that are out so far, and Sears will have a trio stealth g4 10.1in quad core tablet with 16gb memory for $100 plus $20 back in points. I didn't find much in terms of reviews of this online. Anyone have experience with this brand, or recommendations on other models? We spend about $100 per kid for Christmas (with 4 kids), so this plus maybe some accessories would be all she gets. I'd be willing to spend a little more if there is a significantly better brand/product, but I can't really go over ~$150 or so. Thanks for the help!
  4. There is a Sam's Club VIP adscan; they just put out the Pre-Black Friday event (11/24) that has the iphone 5c and the samsung S4 for 96 cents with a two year contract. Not sure if you need an upgraded membership (some of the other VIP events have needed the preferred or whatever membership), but it might be worth a look. I don't know if I am allowed to link to it here, but search the Holiday VIP event for the ad scan.
  5. I got invited to a Michelin tire campaign--sounds like you can be entered into a drawing for free tires, but I'm not sure what else is involved.
  6. I've had multiple golden keys expire because I haven't had any opportunities to use them. It makes me much less motivated to do things like the frogpond when I can't use the rewards I get.
  7. Weird...I checked my dashboard yesterday and it said I was not a finalist for the Potty Dance party, and then tonight I got an invite to be a host. I'm happy to get the party, but I've never had that happen before. Maybe they were waiting to see how many people signed up? I don't know, but that's two parties in two months. Woo Hoo!
  8. Boo! No potty dance house party for me. I was hoping it would help me with training my 2.5 year old! I was sure I fit the demographics on that one...oh well! Let me know what goodies you get in your kits so I can be jealous :)
  9. I bought it Tuesday night at Circuit City for the $38 price. It's a fun game--tough so far (and I'm 26--maybe kids are better gamers than me). It's got a little bit more intro stuff than the previous Zeldas for N64, but it seems a little more direct than Wind Waker. I've only played about 5 hours or so, so I'm not an expert. I really like the game cube version, but I bet the Wii one is even better!
  10. I got one Tuesday night. I had planned to order it online at 5 and pick it up in store, but they didn't have that option. I got to the store at 5:30 PM and they had a bunch. It wasn't crazy rushed or anything--piece of cake! The sales person said they had a lot in stock. It's a great gamecube game--hope you can find it!
