  1. I picked up the Mio C320 on BF, and it was certainly worth the price and then some! For the low price of $149, I got a GPS with a 4.3in screen, and MP3 capability. Thanks to a few "hacks" I found on www.gpspassion.com, I also now have Text-to-speech, a Windows CE interface, a video player, calculator and document reader. I had so much fun modifying my unit. Now i'm on the lookout for new "skins" for my maps.
  2. I picked up a DVD recorder on BF last year from Walmart with the same idea in mind. Unfortunately, when I tried to copy my old VHS cassettes onto DVD, the picture was scrambled due to Macrovision copyright protection. I don't know of any legal methods of getting around the Macrovision, but you may have better luck than I did with a combo player/recorder instead of two stand-alone machines connected to each other.
  3. ING Doesn't have a $1,000 minimum balance requirement to get the interest rate. ING also doen't have a $1,500 initial deposit requirement to open their accounts.

  5. I think the "CC" would indicate Circuit City.:)
  6. Cool! I wish Children's Place was on the list though. Oh well, you can always get what you want...

    Layaway?

    Not that I know of.
  8. Thanks Christy! Now I have to consider if its worth it to drive Thanksgiving night to Locust Grove. So many bargains...so little cash!
  9. Was this publicized? I ask because when I checked their website www.tangeroutlet.com the hours for 11/24/06 are listed for opening at 8AM. I am heading there this tomorrow, so I guess I'll know for sure then. I've been to their Commerce, Ga location, but not the one in Locust Grove. This one is a lot closer to where I live, so I'm looking forward to it.:) http://www.tangeroutlet.com/cgi-bin/center_directions.cgi?center=LOC
  10. Thanks guys! I knew you'd understand. It looks like the best deals are on Christmas Eve, or early after Christmas sales. Perhaps I can just throw some extra lights on my half-lit tree and use it one more time for this Christmas. Lord knows I bought enough extra light sets during last year's clearance sales.
  11. Our current pre-lit tree is half burnt out:no: . Looking at last year's ads from Target, Walmart, and Sears there weren't a lot of deals on trees. Most of them were in the $70 to $130 range. I'm not looking to be Martha Stewart or anything, but I would like a nice, compact 6.5 to 7 ft pre-lit tree for less than $70. Maybe I'll get lucky at Big Lots. I tried to nab one during the after Christmas sales, but no such luck. Aren't there any other cheapskate Christmas decorators out there?!

    BF NIGHTMARE!

OMG! I woke up this morning with my heart racing from a BF nightmare. I was at Walmart and looking on a shelf. When I turned around someone had taken my cart with my purse in it! I was devastated! When I went to the service desk, nobody would help me. They just kept giving me the runaround, then they said they didn't get any computers in their shipment, so no doorbuster computer for me . At this point I was in tears because not only did I miss out on the deals, but I had no way of getting home since someone had stolen my purse and keys...Then I woke up I think all this pre-BF planning has got me going
  13. Bump! Doesn't anybody want to know about this desktop other than me?
  14. If it is an Athlon 64 with features removed, how can it be as good? Currently I have a 4-year old 1.70ghz Pentium 4 w/256mb ram. When rendering an hour-long edited home movie into NTSC standard, it can take several hours. I suppose the latest Sempron will do it faster than my current machine, but will I end up wanting to upgrade again within a few months? Since the Sempron is on a different chipset than the new dual-core Athlon 64s, wouldn't I have to upgrade the motherboard too? I built my current computer, but I'm too lazy to build another one, and I was hoping I could find a pre-built one with a good processor. And an included LCD flat-panel monitor wouldn't hurt either.
  15. I was wondering the same thing. I know all about the $398 desktop and laptops. They both have AMD Sempron chips, which are just not what I was looking for. I need a desktop with more power because I have a digital camcorder, and I like to do video editing and burn my videos to DVD. If anyone has any specs on the $588 desktop, please enlighten us.
  16. Hi All, I was just wondering how many of you shop the entire day from getting in line at 2:00am and shopping until the doors close? I find that I usually start running out of steam around 2:00pm...
