I haven't gone Black Friday shopping for THREE WHOLE YEARS. There just hasn't been anything I've needed. Not great prices for stuff i WANT either....

have ordered MANY times from Tiger Direct. (including this deal which by the way, the second link says CANADA, so I called CS and they are well aware of the problem, and you will still get the rebate. ) Not only have I NEVER had a problem with TD, they are very nice when you call adn there is a guarantee on the page for lots of their stuff about rebates, so buy from them with confidence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to BB at about 7pm last night to pay for an already ordered (By the store ) copy of Nero that they screwed my brother out of, and noticed that they still had the 29.99 AR vidoe card. THe flyer said 8 per store and there were still 3 or 4 on the shelf. I was really surprised. On a sad note, it seems that my local BB is getting more like Home Depot every day. If you don't have a D*** between your legs or on your arm. (IE Boyfriend, husband etc) you are ignored...... I didn't need assistance, just wanted to be checked out in the tech dept and was waiting for close to an hour when there were at least 7 or 8 employees just standing around Bsing.

I've had one for months and I use it to record my VHS that aren't avail on dvd. STill use VHS for daily time shifting though. I will never get rid of them (I have like 4 of them). I don't even use the recorder for regular dvds that I watch. I have another palyer hooked up for that. This one is dedicated just for recording VHS. I have to admit, that the settings are so conveluted (SP?) that I won't change them for fear of not being able to get them back again...lol but yeah, it IS cool!

Was looking for a wool coat, but even at 50% off, 100 is still too much for me to pay for a coat. STill, I have til tomorrow to change my mind and buy it anyway.

they beef up security? I've never noticed that before. Besides, I know a guy who used to work BB security, and it's a JOKE. (he's Geek squad now, also a joke).

the one thing I wanted was Nero7 FAR. it can usually be found for like 20 AR during the year, but free is always nice. (I already have the D/L version, but it would be nice to be able to read the popup alerts I get. I don't speak/read German...LOL)

THe one MAIN Item that I was gonna go out and get is on line at BB, so I'm gonna sleep late for the second year in a row. THere were a couple of things in CC and kompussr that I was gonna get "since I am already out", but now I'm not even gonna bother with them. Is there nothing good out there, or do I already have everything that I NEED?????

YEah, I'll confirm that it's 10 off 20 also it's 20 purchase, not a single item, so if you get lots of cheap things like I always do, it's usable. (It does say not on specials though. ) Also, it says on CLEARANCE items, so be forwarned, YMMV on other stuff. Usual exclusions too, so read carefully. There's also a 15% coupon on another page....

READ AT BB by me they have an awning that has lights in it so it's fine, and at OM where I have gone first for the past few years, I usually read by the lights in the parking lot while sitting in my car til someone else shows up. then I just stand by the door and try to read by the light coming from inside the store. (my book fits in the pocket of my coat, so I don't even have to go put it in the car before I go in.

I always keep my $Bills in my bra, but the CHANGE I put in my pocket. I don't care if they try for that. The biggest thrill I will have had in a while if they do...lol

I'm in NJ, and if it's 93 in NY, I wanted to know what drugs bestbuy7 was on...lol

THe only thing that would make me give up BF (Ionly have one store to go to anyway,) is my doggie. He's 16, and not in 100% great health, so if he got really bad or...... I would give it up to be with him. He's the most important thing in my life, adn if he's sick, then EVERYTHIGN else takes a back seat!

I wasn't gonna hide my stuff, but I went in yesterday so I could buy it and then at a DECENT hour, get on line and do a return/rebuy only to find out that just about everything that is on sale on BF is already off the shelves and sitting on pallets right at the front of the store. Now I HAVE to stand on line outside the store for hours...ERRRRRRRR

You know, I was just reading these responses for a laugh, but I'm surprised that none of you seem to do what I do and that is EVERY NIGHT I sleep with my hair in a pony tail....Am I the only one who doesn't like it all over the place (especially in my face ) at night?????? On BF, I will take a NICE HOT BATH for an hour or so the night before, and try to get a couple hours sleep. Thermals for me cos they're predicting cold and windy, but prolly just trainers and jeans. Long Down coat, hat, scarf and gloves too...lol

MY folding chair, (actually, my mom bought it and hasn't ever used it) was put into my trunk today cos I'm gonna be away for a few days this weekend, and don't want to forget. (Down sleeping bag too.....LOL)

I have a coinstar in my town, but according to the search, it doesn't give e-certificates. Oh well, I guess I'll stick with my bank that does it free. (Commerce) rather than drive the 5 miles to the closest one that gives certificates. I was hoping......

I had signed up as a secret shopper a few years ago, and the ONE assignment that they placed me on ended up being impossible to do. I contacted them about not being able to do it, and then every time they sent me a notice and I responded I never heard back from them about the shop. I guess I cut off my nose to spite my face with that one. NOw I keep getting notices from them, but I haven't answered them. Maybe I should just to see if I can try it again. I really like the thought of doing something like that. Especially when it comes to free food...lol P.S. it WASN"T Apollo, so I signed up for that one. Tnx for the link.

The ONE item I was hoping to find FAR this BF is going to be at Worstbuy (bestbuy) It's Nero 7. I'm so happy I could plotz!!!!! Think I got enough emoticons here?????

I was so disappointed with last year's BF sales that for the first time since I can remember, I DIDN'T GO OUT. I slept, and it was glorious...lol (although I did feel a little guilty for the next week or so).

I agree that if the rebate were an instant discount instead, it wouldn't be as good. Yes, the companies plan on MOST people either forgetting to send them in or doing them wrong, so the rebate can be rejected, and the company won't have to pay. Also, the stores sometimes use those products as lost leaders, hoping that WHILE YOU'RE IN THE STORE, you will pick up other stuff that they make a decent profit on. I love FAR stuff. I have only once gotten denied that I couldn't re-submit. (two rebates for the same thing with different addresses, but I got snagged and only got one of them.) I've gotten so much really good stuff with rebates. I just have trained myself to be really diligent about them. You will frequently find me in the afternoon of BF filling out rebate forms and envelopes. I also stock up on stamps the week before so I don't run out of them and then forget. (although now that the P.O. is open til 7PM, I can even run out in the evening to get more.)
