Sorry about that, thanks for moving it for me:) Thanks for all of the replies everyone! Going to try to answer some of the questions I saw. First she's 15.....a very responsible 15 when it comes to money. A couple years ago she saved up her money and bought herself a $125 digital camera. A couple months ago her best friend borrowed and broke it. My daughter made her pay back EVERY penny that it originally cost her lol. She definitely understands the value of a dollar and understands the financial strain we are in right now. I think my indecision was more for myself than anything. I'm like bluebear when it comes to giving the kids gifts for Christmas. That being said, I've read everyones replies and have decided to buy her the touch...........I know without a doubt that she will be thrilled. Plus I liked the idea of her being able to shop and get the other things she wants ON SALE after Christmas. Since she's been looking at the 2nd/3rd gen 8gb and they are about $180 I've decided to tough it out and try to get the one from TRU since it will end up being the same price with the gc. I'm not big on ebay or craigslist......been burned on those. I got my money back from both but I'm just not willing to risk it when it comes to a Christmas gift. Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one that had that problem!! Totally ticked me off when I saw that I wasted the ink on a worthless map!

My daughter REALLY wants an ipod touch....the 2nd gen since that's what her cousin has and she loves it. She says she doesn't care if she doesn't get anything else if she gets the touch. We are really strapped for cash this year and in order for me to get her the touch(even a refurb one), she literally wouldn't have but 3 other gifts that I picked up on clearance during the year. While I would love to get her the touch, I think I would feel guilty that her brother would have so many more gifts to open long after she's through. She's been saving her money to buy the touch and will have enough by the time she gets her Christmas money from relatives. Should I buy the touch and let her spend her money on other things she wants....just dance 2, aero stuff, purses, cds, etc., or should I get those things and let her buy the touch? Dangit I hate this! I know if I decide to get the touch, I'll be camped out most of Thanksgiving day so I can get the $50 gc from TRU seeing as how a refurb 2nd gen will only be $30 cheaper.

I'm not sure if all Kroger stores are doing this but at the ones around here they have special going. Save $5 when you buy 10 participating items. I printed off coupons and ended up getting 10 cans for $4.40. Ok I just have to ask this........everyone laugh if you want:p Isn't it a huge pain in the butt when you have to use the restroom?! I mean I have been known to sit here on GD for so long that I end up doing a cross legged sprint to the bathroom and barely making it without peeing on myself........I can't imagine that same scenario while wearing those pjs!

The opening times are HORRIBLE!! For a lot of us, it's not just about the sales, it's a family tradition that takes place year after year. For me the early opening times are quickly destroying the whole BF tradition. With the economy as bad as it is, you would think that the sales would be better. But then again, maybe this is the retailers way to boost their bottom line.........keep sales mediocre because they know that one way or another people are going to buy the "most requested" item on their kids Christmas list whether it's on sale or not.

Ok I didn't want to post a quick judgement so I went back and looked through the ad again after everything was posted. Honestly there is nothing in the ad worth me going to Target and fighting a crowd for. About the only things I would be slightly interested in would be the fleece pants, lined jacket, air hogs helicopter and maybe the towels but none of those are on anyone's wishlist. While I'm VERY excited to have gotten to see the ad, the ad itself was just depressing IMO. I sure hope this isn't any indication of what WM's ad is going to look like!
