  1. I've been using tracfone for about 2 years now. Their csr svce often leaves a lot to be desired, but once the phone is operational, (No Mr. Csr Svce... Sending me out a 4th new Sim card will NOT solve the problem...) they work really well. I'm in Upstate NY and I've gotten service in area's where some of the big guys (Verizon) had a hard time.

    Good points...

The minutes roll over. If you have a 90 minute card and a 200 minute card, you will get 290 minutes (580 with a Double Minutes for life phone).

There are lots of bonus codes available to give you even more time. IE Add a 1 year/400 minute card and get 300 bonus minutes.

The service days add on to the end of your service. If you have 45 days left and add a new card with 90 days, you will then have 135 service days.

There is no additional charges on the days you use the phone. Some prepaids only charge you .10 cents a minute, but there is a 1.00 charge for each day you use the phone.

    Bad points...

Their customer service is the worst. I don't know if it's the language barrier or what, but I dread when I have to call them. I've gone out and bought a new phone rather than deal with them. They seem to use a script and if you ask something that is not on their script, they have NO CLUE what to do and need to 'talk to a supervisor.'

If you are only going to use the phone for emergencies, tracfone works great. It's the cheapest because their aircards give you 90 days of service.

  2. What did they offer in other areas? I have been waiting for crayons to go on sale. I am glad they allow educators to have a complete class set of 25 here. I went at 10:55 and there was a line like Black Friday. We have had horrible budget cuts here so everything helps.

If you've got a Walmart nearby, you might try them for the crayons. Our WM had Crayola for .22 cents.

Also with the 'freebee's/door busters', I've gone in with my 3 kids and given each of them a couple of dollars and they each purchase the items.

  3. ### Duracell 5 2 pack AAA batteries Reg 4.98 50% off Clearance 2.48

Don't know if I did that right.

And finally scored on the .69 MM Apple Juice! :cheesy: They had 4 on the shelf and I grabbed 3. I gave 1 to my SIL!

The Batteries were a great deal for me. My eldest has T1 Diabetes and his pump uses 2 at a time. The 2 packs will make it a lot easier to organize his supplies for Middle School next year.

  4. Okay so here I live in Upstate NY and the 2 Targets near me never have anything good. :(

I get so mad sometimes that they don't mark down as fast as other stores do. And by tthe time I get there they are gone..........Maybe I just need to sleep there...lol:)

The Saratoga Springs store is very slow to mark things down. The few times that I've been in there, I couldn't find ANY clearance!

  5. The Cynthia Rowe stuff was 90% in the Halfmoon NY store. I scored a 9 can cooler for 1.29, 3 Martini Shakers .99 each, a patio table table runner for .99 and some cute little paper baskets for sandwiches or chips for .29.

There was no price on the table runner and I pointed out the price of the Martini shaker and the cooler, so the front end supervisor asked me if .99 was OK. Fine with me! :D

I also saw a prepaid cell, maybe a Nokia from Virgin Mobile, marked down to 7.48 from 29.xx.

  6. I was in the Clifton Park, NY Target and they had a bunch of the Archer Farms sauces 50% off. I found a tomato & Basil Bruschetta, Chardonnay Artichoke dip, Spinach Artichoke Dip, sh.itake Mushroom burger topper, a Bratworst marinade, a Kansas City Barbaque sauce and a bunch of others. Don't remember the names, only the ones that I bought!!! :D

They also had some Almay moisturizer 75% off, from 10.xx to 2.xx.

  7. FYE also carried Webkinz around Christmas time. They may still have them. You can also try calling around to local gift shops. The Lil' Kinz Pig may be hard to find since that is the 'Pet of the Month'. I've got 3 kids who collect them, so I've become VERY well versed!
  8. Very productive day at the Halfmoon/Clifton Park NY Target!

Girls 4-14 Activewear is 75% off.

    2 pr Nylon shorts 1.88 from 7.99

Long sleeve Lycra top 1.88 from 8.99

    Boys 4-16 hat 50% off -- .98

Mens XXL golf shirt 75% off 3.74 org 14.99

Misses wool blend jacket 11.xx from 44.99

    Total with tax 22.56!

And a heads up for Boys underwear. My younger son had HUGE growth spurt and went from 7-12 in about a year. Every time I went to buy the next size up of Hanes boys briefs(6/7 pr), the tag on the rack would say 3.89, but it would ring up at 5.xx. They would usually adjust it at the register.

  9. I've had a tracfone for about a year now and I just use it for emergencies. I get the 60 min cards for $20 and then find codes on the web to bump the minutes up to 120-150. It also extends service for 90 days. The minutes rollover so I have nearly 400 minutes and I don't have to add any time to the card until mid March.
  10. And if Target is sold out, you can bring the ad to Walmart and they will Price Match! :D Gal at the Walmart counter was none too happy since Wallyworlds reg price is 84.99! She must have said, 'That's a really big difference!' about 6 times!

  11. I avoid Walmart like the plague all year long so today was not different. I did go to Target and Toys R Us at 6AM, but the lines were just too outrageous! I went back home and returned at 11AM. I was able to get in and out of TRU in 20 minutes. Target was sold out of the stuff that I was looking for, but it didn't bother me at all.
  12. Two years ago, I went crazy and spent about $600 dollars at Target on BF items, a few days before BF. I walked into the store that Friday about 10 am and gave them my receipt and they adjusted over $350 to me without a problem. I think the key is getting there during the two day sale. As other posters said, they can't refuse, it is their policy. If for some reason you run into problems, ask for a manager!

I was in my Clifton Park, NY Target this morning and double checked their adjustment policy for BF. I spoke with a manager and she confirmed that they will adjust as long as I am there while the sale is still going on.

  13. The retailers seem to be under the impression that on Thanksgiving day, potential BF shoppers can sit down and leisurely scan each and every flyer, as if we had nothing else to do that day! :eyepoppin What planet are they on and are there any vacancies! Between preparing for the meal, getting the kids and the house ready, and/or traveling to another destination, not to mention being able to FIND the ads if hubby or kids get to paper first! If it wasn't for sites like this, I'd really have no clue what is going on sale and would most likely MISS half of the things that I might buy.
  14. Kitchenaid 4.5-qt. Ultra Power Stand Mixer - White (KSM100PSWW) Reg. $239.99 75% off Now $59.99 DCPI 072-04-1490

there were also red kitchenaid items ... a blender & toaster, but I never could find those. The mixer is still full price online.. both the ones I found were mixed with the new ones on the shelf.. Goodluck!

If anyone in Capital District area - Upstate NY find this machine, can you please PM or Email me! My Clifton Park store hasn't marked it down and when I checked Saratoga, their clearance was non existant! If I can find it, it will be one of my X mas presents to myself!

  15. Ok, cool! But any ideas on what to do with a free monitor?

I don't know if you have kids, but you can also check with your Pediatrician's office. My son has Type 1(Insulin Dependent) and so has received a bunch of meters from vendors. I've given extra one to our Ped who only had an older model as well as sent them in care packages for Hurricaine Katrina. A local Red Cross may be able to use it to send to So Cal with the wildfires.
