  1. Nice Aerosmith tickets Misschelz! Looks like you can't take your new camera in the door, however, according to the ticket..... Anyway, I got the Z700 from Kmart. I intended to give my daughter my Kodak DX4530 from "Santa," and I was going to keep the Z700. I already have the 5.0 mp Kodak DX4530 & dock. However, I have been experimenting with the Z700, and I am not that pleased. It is not that I dislike the camera, I just thought the zoom and low light photographs would be better than my DX4530. If I had of known that the quality is not better, I would have gotten my 7-year-old the Target camera, and kept the DX4530 for myself. Talk about buyer's remorse. I might just take the Z700 back to Kmart, and see if any other cheaper Kodak models go on sale before Christmas, and give a cheaper kodak model to her. I originally intended to get the Target camera for her, and got greedy for myself......
  2. Also, the Best Buy ad for us "non-doorbuster-markets" shows that it excludes prior purchases, subsequent purchases, psps, prps, taxes and gift card purchases. So, even if I saw a ray of hope that I could buy my son's PSP there, along with a couple of sandisk memory cards & get a $45 gift card, I can't do that, because PSP's aren't included? The PSP is shown right by the gift card promo... I wonder which it is? PSP or not? I don't think there is any other good way to get a good deal on a PSP. We have Hasting's book stores in our areas, and you can buy a PSP and get a $20 mail in rebate... Any other ideas for PSP?
  3. I got there at 6:00. There were about 5 cars. We got out & got in line at 6:30. I was 5th in line. I went there to get the Kodak Z700 bundle and the Crockpot for $20. Me & the 1st lady in line were the #1 and #2 people in the line at the electronics counter for the Z700 bundle. There were only 4 available. When we got up to the cash register, though, they only had 2 128 mb cards in the whole store. The employees weren't told how to do the $20 gift card, and didn't know that the bundle came with that or the 128 mb card. Luckily, I was the 1st up to the register with a camera bundle, so I got 1 of the 2 mb cards. It was quite a cluster in there.....
  4. All of the Best Buys that I pulled up in the St. Louis area, Carbondale IL, Paducah KY and Cape Girardeau MO seemed to have the $15 off gift cards instead of the doorbusters...
  5. Our Circuit City closed down in 2003 because the Best Buy came to town & ran their business out. So, they realize that there is not much competition... I have just about decided that I won't go to Best Buy at all now.
  6. Mark- Did they have any of the sales listed for the rest of the country??? Or is that "the" sale, the $15 gift card?
  7. I'm in Southeastern Missouri. I went to look at the computers advertised, and the store manager and computer guy both told me that that is how it is going to be. They are trying to decide whether or not to do this nationwide next year. I am going to be sure to get them plenty of negative feedback from friends/family, etc., so that this does not happen again. It WAS my favorite BF store to shop at. Their district office is out of St. Louis, and they handed down the orders regarding the "no doorbusters" this year. The St. Louis stores, of course, are having the doorbusters. But, it is a 2 hour drive for me to go to St. Louis, so I can't do that, either......
  8. I don't know if anyone else has posted about this, but in my area, the Best Buy is one of the "test market" stores that is not having doorbusters. Instead, they are giving $15 gift cards for every $100 you spend. I am furious. I had a whole list of things I was going to buy. Guess I won't now... Is anyone else in a "test market" area that they know of?
