Thanks. The camera I want isn't coming up at the sale price. So I was wondering if there's any chance it will go on sale at midnight on the website.

Does BB have their BF items available at the BF sale price online starting at midnight? Or is what's on there now pretty much all you'll be able to get online? I was hoping all the "updating" was a good sign...anyone know?

Is it just me, or are the Best Buy items not coming up?

[Sears NOT PMing for BF Prices]

I went to Sears today to check out the Panasonic Camcorder BB has for $249. After three different electronics employees told me they could match BB's price in the BF ad plus 10%, I decided to get it. So I grabbed pack of tapes and a case, and head to the register, only to have one of them make a call and then tell me "Bad news, we can't price match". Ummm, hello, get your info straight. After a long conversation with a rude "manager" who told me its a "corporate decision", I left pretty pissed off with no camcorder.

 

I can completely understand if they don't match BB or CC prices for BF, but at least inform your employees so they know what the heck is going on.

 

Is the no BF price matching at Sears at all Sears or just the one I went to? I even tried to call another location, but they were closed today.

Anyone else having trouble with the Beat Buy site? It's telling me "Online Ordering Unavailable". Anyone know if the $249 Panasonic Camcorder is available online yet (ever)?

The price is without shipping I assume? So add another 12 to 20 bucks for shipping. So the difference is closer to $50 or $60 bucks. But possibly still worth it in my mind. I'm just not sure I'd buy something from a retailer online that may or may not be reputable. Thats my sticking point right now anyway. Have you used this company before by any chance?

 

Actually the $308 includes shipping...not a bad deal. On eopinions.com website, they have a 4 out of 5 customer rating, so I'd have no problem buying something from them online, although I never have.

 

Just thought I'd throw the idea out there for people who didn't (or couldn't) get up at 3 am to go to Best Buys!

If you're brave and you want to do the Best Buy deal on Friday, you'd pay about $220 after you get the rebate. So is going Friday worth $38?

Click on the Best Buy ad and you can enlarge it to read the details. Its on the 2nd page. Its $249.99 after instant rebate, and you should still be able to mail in a $50 rebate. It says minimum 15 per store, no rainchecks, Friday 5-noon.

I seen the camcorder on QVC yesterday...it was a Panasonic. I ordered it but I think I might just return it if I can get the Panasonic one at BB and use the rebate for it.

So is it possible to buy the BB camcorder at $249 and print/mail in the $50 rebate also? Pretty good deal if it works...

Anyone have any idea how many of these a BB will have and how fast they generally go? (BTW, its the Panasonic MiniDV for $249). When the doors open, is it a mad rush to grab the item, or do they give out tickets, or do you get in a line, or what!?

 

I did the BF thing a few years ago at CC to buy a TV and it wasn't that bad, but reading all these posts, I'm a little scared!
