Is it just me, or are the Best Buy items not coming up?

I went to Sears today to check out the Panasonic Camcorder BB has for $249. After three different electronics employees told me they could match BB's price in the BF ad plus 10%, I decided to get it. So I grabbed pack of tapes and a case, and head to the register, only to have one of them make a call and then tell me "Bad news, we can't price match". Ummm, hello, get your info straight. After a long conversation with a rude "manager" who told me its a "corporate decision", I left pretty pissed off with no camcorder. I can completely understand if they don't match BB or CC prices for BF, but at least inform your employees so they know what the heck is going on. Is the no BF price matching at Sears at all Sears or just the one I went to? I even tried to call another location, but they were closed today.

Anyone else having trouble with the Beat Buy site? It's telling me "Online Ordering Unavailable". Anyone know if the $249 Panasonic Camcorder is available online yet (ever)? Thanks :)

Actually the $308 includes shipping...not a bad deal. On eopinions.com website, they have a 4 out of 5 customer rating, so I'd have no problem buying something from them online, although I never have. Just thought I'd throw the idea out there for people who didn't (or couldn't) get up at 3 am to go to Best Buys!

What about purchasing the Panasonic from this place http://www.6ave.com/product.jsp?x=PVGS31&zipz=11001 for $308, then send in the mail in rebate. The total would be $258. If you're brave and you want to do the Best Buy deal on Friday, you'd pay about $220 after you get the rebate. So is going Friday worth $38?

Anyone have any idea how many of these a BB will have and how fast they generally go? (BTW, its the Panasonic MiniDV for $249). When the doors open, is it a mad rush to grab the item, or do they give out tickets, or do you get in a line, or what!? I did the BF thing a few years ago at CC to buy a TV and it wasn't that bad, but reading all these posts, I'm a little scared! Thanks :)

How can you tell which camcorder deals include or have a rebate option with them? I was looking at the Best Buy Panasonic for $249. Is there a $50 rebate in addition to that? Thanks:)
