It makes one wonder is this years "BF" going to really be "RF" (Red Friday)
-
:banghead: :banghead: I was feeling really down and out because this is the first time in 23 years that I've been unemployed and thought that I wouldn't be able to get anything for my two sons. They both say they understand but in reality a 9 year old and 15 year old are still looking forward to Christmas--especially because of what they'd been accustomed to. I feel blah! Depressed is more like it. Looking through the ads, there was nothing worth going through my annual BF-athon for, so I felt a little better that I wasn't missing out on anything. Atleast here I can anonymously vent without trying to put on the face of wonderwoman. This is usually my favorite time of year. In a way I'm glad all the ads suck and in a way I wish they were better to cheer me up. :indiffere
I work 5 hours a week, if I am lucky...so money is not as abundant as it could be...in a way, I am glad the ads suck...It has made me really think about all this "STUFF" I have bought over the years...it is just stuff. Our kids don't remember 100's if not 1000's of toys we have bought them over the years. What a great time to have fun with our kids and make memories they will remember forever. Ok...I know it is a bit sappy, I just feel so manipulated by all these retailers with their marketing schemes! Do I really need or even want this stuff...nah...but their marketing efforts make be think I do.

Target will allow you to use a check, credit card, or a debit card to retrieve a sales receipt and you will get the full price you paid
I wish all the stores would do this...It would save them and the customer a lot of grief. I guess they don't want to make toooooo easy for customers to return products.
-
I rarely have any issues with returning anything to my Target. I never have my receipts...they will just look up my credit card to find my receipts at the store. I return stuff all the time. I buy stuff and bring it home and either it does not look right or I have buyers remorse!

The BF ads this year really stink! I dont really see anything that I must have or that I'm willing to fight over (LOL). I feel like I got all excited for nothing this year, especially over WM!
I feel like we have all been had. The retailers have wined and dined us for the last...I don't know how many years, with awesome BF Deals, I guess these retailers have flood the market the last few years are realize that a lot of us come out for about 15 minutes and grab the deals they're taking a hit on...I guess it makes sense for business...but not us consumers.

As many as we have time and energy for. Starting at wal-mart, target, old navy, tru, then hitting the mall for the disney store.
These plans can be changed at anytime due to new sales, new info, etc. LOL
I fully agree or unless the credit card hits its limit...

Old Navy does have door busters! Last year I got a 2 piece 'jump suit'? for $20 (normally each piece $17.99), rolled gift blankets $5, clearance prices are AWESOME and they also do 'lucky in line'...whoever is in line and has a package of tissues in their purse/pocket gets a discount card...whose buying 8 items, get discount card, etc
we are getting a Kohl's here next year...looking forward to that since I've seen so many people mention that one
WOW---I had no idea. We have one being built...and unfortunately, it will not be open for BF...maybe next year!

Thank you!

Some of the Ads look like they have no door busters at all. How sad:gdcry: and I've seen better sales during the year on some things. Still some good stuff but nothing is really screaming out Buy Me! Maybe once I get the Ads in my hot little hands and really look them over side by side I'll find some things to get excited.
I agree...I am just wondering if I am just not interested in "stuff" anymore. I have a compuer...I have the LCD/HD tv...I have the digital camera...all the electronic gizmos...all the kitchen gadgets...I have way too many kid toys...I buy buy buy ever year on BF...spending way too much, but it is fun!!! I come to wonder if I am fed up with all the marketing of stuff I really don't need or is that the ad are REALLY REALLY BAD!!!!!!

Where is the "None of the Above" catagory?!? LoL! I have never really run into a "Helpful and not harried" employee in my BF ordeals.
None of the above is about right some years. I think the employees are more flustered than the customer that did not get the BF deal. To me every year there are employees that seem like they have been on the job since the moment the doors opened. I find majority of the workers clueless. As consumers, I think most of us do our homework and know the same if not more than the workers. I am not blaming the workers, it is the company's dynamics...

Just curious...which store do you think the employees are the more helpful on BF. It is a crazy day. I have found in the past that target seems to have extra help everywhere with their radios helping the customers locate what they want -- it can be crazy especially the first 10 minutes.

Target BF ad
in 2006
It seems like all the ads are a bit weak this year. However, I will say, Target by far has the best to offer when shopping for the whole family, i.e. toys, electronics, clothes, etc. -
Just curious...how many stores do you plan on shopping at on BF? I will probably hit 3-4 stores. It all depends on the crowds and stock at the stores of course.
-
I have not seen anything mentioned about HHGregg...does anyone know anything about their BF sale?
-
If you play your cards (or should I say discounts/coupons) you can get some really great deals.
-
Maybe were being punk'd by the stores and they're tricking us with fake adds until they release the real ones on Thanksgiving.
One would hope...the deals are not much more than a good sale...not "black Friday" worthy.
-
Lately, I have been a bit psycho in checking this site. In fact, for the past few days, I leave the BF page up and just refresh when I pass by the computer.
That is exactly what I have been doing. I just hope more ads come out soon.

Is your Walmart not open 24 hours?
-
There are 13 pages of coupons (30+ coupons)
-
I am hoping most of the deals will be online...I am planning on going online at 12:01am...sure would beat standing out in the cold.

That is great and suprising from what I have read on other post regarding Best Buy. It seems like most people don't have much good to say about Best Buy. I have never venture out to a BB on BF -- the lines are crazy...I usually drive by one and wow...I think there must be 100s of people by 4 am...it is really wild...maybe the key is to way until after the dust settle from the 5am door opening.
