  1. I think what makes me the most crazy about this process is that I don't have brick and mortar options living ina very rural area. If it isn't in Walmart, I can't have hope. My orders have gotten cancelled, and I cannot track any stock even an hour away. Am not faint of heart and LOVe the challenges of somethings.. I was able to get 6 hatchimals into kids hands for Christmas.....no increase in price.....just a fun thing to help do for some parents that cannot get to store because of our crazy work hours. We are at school preparing for the day at 5:30-6:00a.m. I am about to give up hope!
  2. So far I am dealing with :

Ulta orders. Made one order...the sent it ups/ usps smartpost. Undeliverable and returned back to Ulta. The told me to place a second order which I did, but this time I decided to have it shipped to my office. Ups and usps delivers boxes daily, it is an elementary school. USPS delivered on a Saturday to a neighboring house. $ money from first order has been refunded...2 no order they have issued a store credit for part of the amount?

Bon-ton : missing half my order

Walmart:.... tires showing delivered ....in the wrong state! They said they would resend themd I would receive a new order confirmation with 30 minutes.....it has been 9 hours

Walmart.....several orders split up and shipped various methods.....won't be deliverable with the shipping address due to it being rural area! Ugh!

  3. After 6 trips into Walmart over the last few days.......I was really under impressed this year. Not only with the " routing" system in place on Thursday, but the " yellow vest" associates. My store may have hired extra hands, but it seemed like all the wanted to actually do was stand around and visit with each other. They blocked off the entire clothing sections to eas flow of checking out, but the lack of signage as to what items you where getting " herded" past was ridiculous. I like to shop, which means having a chance to look at items. The system at my store had everyone walking down aisles , but you better just have a list and grab what you see. Nothing was marked, nor was there a rhyme or reason to items order. Totally random! Ugh! Fingers crossed for next Year!
  4. I don't think it is dead! It has changed, evolved into an entire different entity! However, I do think there will be pushback in the upcoming years, and will change again. Even possible into something that might resemble " Black Friday ". I recall a few years ago one of my very first posts was about" cyber Monday" . I recall being called out ( possibly from Brad ;) ) that is was't a thing, only hype.now it has turned into a day!

Embrace the change, but don't think it is dead! I remember when Black Friday shoppers were like an exclusive club, because not that many people would be " crazy" enough to participate!

  5. This was the high point of my day finding out I was a " winner"! I work in a school and while the holidays bring great joy to some of us, it is a hard time for so many of my students! I had a child with un repairable shoes ( worn completely thru the insole and sole, not even duct tape can't hold on his foot). Thanks so much for being a fun place with fun people! And letting me win! ;)

  6. I have 1 item on my list that isn't a " must have". The only joy I have gotten shopping this year is purchasing Hatchimals for people with kids that will never be able to get them without paying resellers prices. Nothing against resellers.....I just am getting joy out of helping Santa this year.
  7. This year we will have the gingerbread/candy tree in my office, Santa boots and hats in the family room, and possibly another tree in the dining room. We have moved, and I am trying to get a feel for how everything should be! I designed this house with certain things in mind( where to put Christmas trees), but I am certain on decorating themes as of yet! I may start from scratch next year!
  8. I traveled over 60 miles to one Walmart that was showing a " Hatchimal" in stock. After looking around in the store , they realized it had been sold. The checked stock in a mother store 40 more miles away, and it was showing in stock. They called down there to verify they actually had one, and as luck would have it, the had 2! They took my name and offered to hold it for me at the customer service desk. The entire drive down I was very excited and appreciative of the first stores help. I reached the 2 nd store location to be told that they sold the one they were holding for me. Ugh! I know it is " the hot item" of the year, I know they are hard to come by! I was so disappointed that they told the Walmart associate in the 1st store they would happily hold it for me! That isn't the shiniest example of great customer service!
