  1. I went into the Plainville Mass store today at 8:00 am and they were marking down all

toys 75% off. You had to get the employee to use the gun on your item to mark it down to

the 75% off as it would not scan correctly at the register.

I got TPIR DVD game $3.74

    " " 1 vs 100 DVD game $3.74

" " Deal or no Deal DVD game $3.74

they also had these games for Family Feud and various Scene Its and WOF

They had the huge remote controlled cars/trucks all for $14.98 most of them were originally

well over $100. Tons of baby toys, Pirates stuff, tons of Barbies, Vtechs, big table games, air

hockey, pool tables etc. Easels, arts and crafts stuff all 75% off. They were still bringing out

stuff from the back as I left. I also got Boogle Jr, Clue Jr and Monopoly Jr, Dora Candy Land all were $2.24 each. My son is a special ed major and currently tutors 4 yr old autistic twins

so I hope he can use these for those kids.

Also a nice Christmas train set with tracks for $3.74 and a huge fire engine with all the sounds for $2.48.

  2. I was at my local Target today and found some good deals. I bought my DS 2 pairs of

Christmas boxers (1 simpsons, 1 peanuts) for 79cents each. I got him some slip on sneakers

black and white (looked like skateboard kind) at $3.49, I got some holiday earrings and

hair clips for 69 cents each and some nick and nora xmas socks 2 pk for 39 cents each.

Our toys are only at 30% here..nothing impressive at all:(

The one thing I was really mad about those was I had found a mens medium 3 piece

Grinch pajama set and it was ringing up at $19.99:eek: So I brought them to the service

desk and I was told "these are not Christmas" OK printed on the PJ's were the Grinch with

the huge printing in the shirt THE GRINCH WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS, and the pants and boxers

had the grinch, wreaths and ornaments all over them. I said to the girl "these are NOT Christmas?" and she was very snotty and said NO THEY ARE NOT!!! OK well I was sad but

I still got my other deals. BTW all our perfume sets here are only 30% off and the Rubbermaid

Christmas items are still NOT marked down at all..even though they have candy canes printed all over the labels. Oh well, you win some, you lose some

Also all the Hello Kitty stuff (toasters, popcorn makers etc) were $13.48 here

  3. I hav gotten several beautiful formal/cocktail gowns/dresses on ebay in he past. One I

only paid 99 cents for with free shipping :yup:

I got a gorgeous black, knee length, beaded gown for $20 and I got lots of compliments too.

BTW, it was new with tags, iirc the price tag was $200ish.

Good Luck but I highly recommend ebay for things like this..I even got matching evening

    bags cheap too

We also got my DS's tux from ebay..it included EVERYTHING..from shoes to cufflinks to

3 cumberbunds for $99..there are several tux rental companies that sell them off every

season. He wore it to 3 different proms and 2 cruises...talk about getting your moneys

    worth:rolleyes:

  4. Just came back from Target, Easton Mass and Plainville Mass

they are at 90% but there is nothing left. I got a stocking for a buck and a tree skirt for $2.

I grabbed some rubbermaid storage bowls (clearly Christmas with candy canes all over the

packaging and a wrapper organizer (to put in all your christmas wrap, bows, tape etc) and

none of them ring up on sale, let alone 90% off. I went to customer service and they said

that Rubbermaid, refuses to allow them to put them on clearance at this time. SC agreed that this was ridiculous and they were constantly being asked why.

The biggest deal I saw were the flavored creamers (liquid) International Coffee and Coffee Mate, all the holiday flavors were .17 each and good through the end of Feb 08. Too bad I

    don't drink coffee.

  5. I have Verizon they have been great...good coverage, no billing problems etc

We had Cingular in the past...stay away..they were a nightmare, espcially with billing issues

I have a friend who has T-Mobile and her purse was recently stolen, they replaced her phone

in less than 24 hours and were awesome and even tracked the phone for her and the police.

  6. I got a 48 pack of AA batteries at BJ's for $9.98 plus I bought a 36 pack of AAA's at

    BJ's too for $5.99

I hope I don't need any C, D, or 9 volts...oh well that is what they make the local

convenience stores for, so I can spend $10. for 1 battery

KayakMom..thanks for the PSA...you probably saved some kids from being in tears tomorrow.

Now since my DSs are college age, they can asssemble anything that needs assembly...

I used to dread that :gdparanoid:

  7. Thanks so much. I am pretty sure the 2nd one is the one she had on QVC. I am not

a big potato lover but this looked amazingly good and I want to make it for Christmas

to go with the ham, broccoli casserole and corn.

I will be eating way too many points that day..but back on track 12/26 for sure:yup:

  8. Does anyone have Paula Deens Twice Baked Potato Casserole recipe. She was on QVC

the other day and they had this recipe..it looked so good. I looked on her website and

didn't find it. I would love to have this recipe, if somebody here has it and would like to

    share;)

    TIA
