  1. I will add another vote for picking one up at Walmart. Last January, my 12 year old 25" JVC went poof, and I was able to pick up a 27" Apex with full stereo sound, multiple connections, etc for about $139.99. Here's a link to the 27" TVs at Walmart.com And here is the link to the same at Target.com
  2. Something to keep in mind in regards to the I6000 is right now, with it being back-to-school time, the ship date on the 6000 is getting later and later. Meaning, if you were to order it today, it wouldn't leave the factory until August 17 and wouldn't get to your house until the 20th or so. As an alternative, you might want to check out the I600m. Yes, the screen is smaller, but the keyboard is about the same size, meaning you're not going to have to cramp your fingers to type on it for papers, etc. Something to keep in mind...
  3. We've been told not to use the affiliate (gottadeal.com) coupons anymore. Lots of abuse at some of the kiosks around the country, plus then GD doesn't get the commission. You could however, apply for the Dell Preferred Account, find out what you're approved for, then follow these instructions. 1: configure the monitor the way you want 2: in your cart, put in the coupon code from GD 3: select credit card as payment 4: when you get to the page where you can input your CC information you'll see a banner at the top of the page alerting you to the fact that you'll get 2% off if you use your DPA. 5: click the banner, and you should get 2% off your order. It's not 5%, but it is something more.
  4. Yes it is. But only until Tuesday which is the end of the quarter.
  5. RossMAN...You're kidding right? My I6000 that was supposed to be here toward the 8th of July got here on June 27th. And if it does "over shoot" they HAVE TO contact you and get your okay to delay your order. If not, they get fined by the feds. Depending on where you are in the country, you will have it generally about 3 days after it leaves the factory. You can keep track of your order online and see where in the process it is. Unless one of your parts delays your expected ship date, plan on it taking about 2 weeks to leave the factory.
  6. Real estate has very little to do with it as we're in malls and only kiosks rather than B&M buildings or inline stores. Kiosks are normally a bit cheaper than inline stores and there's very little if any over-head. DDS is moving into states right now that have adopted the Nexus laws. Meaning, if you're from a Nexus state, you get charged tax for online purchases.
  7. Well, they're opening upstate right now...I don't know about NYC.
  8. Not yet. Atlanta is rumored to be opened by the end of the year.

  10. do your family members a favor and NOT recommend a celeron for college. Trust me when I say that it will BARELY run Office. Here's a very telling review from JR: $1100 Computer for teens, May 10, 2005 Reviewer: Aldington H. Russell - See all my reviews I just bought this computer from the Army Air Force Exchange. I am returning it after I remove my personal data. My problems started with the USB ports. The computer has three USB ports, but only 1 USB Controller. I had a Web Cam, Ext Sound Card (w/ext power) and tried to connect my Memorex Thumb Drive. It locked the computer up. After locating the above deficiency in the engineering, I attempted to attach the 3 items to a externally powered USB Hub, with the same results. I was willing to work with this due to the reasonable price, but started finding that the software (Office 2003 - Teacher/Student Edition & Quicken 2004) that was installed were trial versions, that would have to be upgraded within 60 days. There is an abundance of software that keeps popping up to be loaded/DL'd (note; you can't tell when something is being DL'd, looked like computer locked up). Suspect that these may be trial versions as well. I would recommend it for a 15 y/o, if you have S/W already on hand to install. This experience was like buying a lot of Pop-up ads (a Toshiba Ad Campaign). I suspect that you would end up spending another $300 on S/W to get this up to a typical S/W package that comes with a New Computer.
  11. Just got my shirt and pens today. They look great! Nice job on the shirts Brad! And a GREAT color blue!
  12. I'll leave it to you Ross. Big sale at the mall tomorrow. Hopefully we get a pantload of foot traffic tomorrow. We need it.
  13. Yeah, I like my toys and when you can stack coupons, why not? :) Yeah, I was going to mention something about being a bit off topic, but I figured I'd leave that you the admins.
  14. I went UXGA for my screen. I like watching movies too much and when I actually decide that I have time to get back into web design and logo design, I'll want the extra graphics. Well, that and the 128mb vid card, which is always nice.
