  1. Ugh! Try 16 years!

    Watch out guys lovetoshopCA will be wanting us to put our YOB under where we live. Just joking. I'm right there with you guys 14 years for me. I haven't seen anything lately at Target I was hoping to get the Crystal Light, but it was gone. I hope with all the bad weather we've had in California, they'll be lots a mark downs that no one else will get to, however, lovetoshopCA is pretty faithful in her Target route..like the Post Office...thru snow and rain. Seriously, if I did not read her post everyday I'd never the best time to go to Target. Your the best!!:yup:

  2. We got my DD a "Go Phone" and she can call anyone that has att&t wireless for free. The only down fall is that she is charged $1.00 a day for each day she uses the phone (calls in and out. Not just turned on) however, most of her friends have att&t formerly cingular and at $1.00 a day I'm okay with it. Oh yea, all other calls are 10cents a minute. She has been really good with it. It comes with $10.00 on the phone, she has had it for a month now and she is still using the original $10.00.
  3. If it goes back to the floor then it isn't "salvage." Its "repackaged." Your store may be different. At our stores here, price change team loads their carts with the great deals and keeps them if they want them. Plenty of employees put stuff in the back that they know is being marked down, too. I know because they have told me they do it. One was upset last summer when the train table she put back for herself to buy for her son was taken by another employee. She knew I was hitting all the area Targets for the toy bargains and had me looking for one for her.

    I agree. The term salvaged means it's out the door being written off, going elsewhere. Repackaged means it's been open, but we're going to tape this bad boy up and mark it down a bit and sell it. Seasonal items that have gone 50/90% off or just lost in the back room and not sold thru will go to salvage and it'll be brand new, same with some clothing. But also employees are not "suppose to" put things in the back or buy things before guests have a chance to. But people are going to break the rules and do it. Ever go faster than the speed posted? Yes employees are allowed to shop on breaks and on lunch, yes they see things and will go get it. Its called integrity. Target wants the guests to have every opportunity to buy things before employees who get the inside scoop, but on break and lunch an employee is a customer too.

    Love to shop isn't saying employees are bad, just that the terminalogy being used is incorrect.

  4. I tried to price match at Walmart and they told me "no, we only price match on their everyday low price or on regular sale prices, not on special sales like their two day ad" I asked for the policy in writing...they didn't have it. I just shook my head (my husband said I pouted) and walked away. Yet another reason for ME not to like Walmart. I wanted to print out this tread and say" see...look at all the other Walmart's that price match", but decided my spoiled children had enough toys and Walmart was not going to get my $$$$millions$$$. HEHE;)
  5. I bought it last week ant target for $89 with 2 guitar

    I got this one also. They had ran out of the GHIII for PS2 by monday after the ad came out. They gave me a rain check for it (even though the ad says they won't), but then they got another shipment in on Thursday and I was able to pick it up. I thought it was a fantastic deal. 2 guiters with game for only $89.00. I took my chance that I wouldn't be able to find anything better than that and I am pleased that I did. However, Costco does have it for PS2 for $79.00, but only 1 guiter.

  6. Looks like we SoCal types are spread out. We have someone from OC, you, me in the San Gabriel Valley, and another gal who is in Simi Valley! We cover the whole area except right on the coast.

    Not sure if you were talking about me (Simi Valley), but I'am out here in the Antelope Valley. I went to the Palmdale Target today and got 2 sets of Garden Speakers (look like rock, but are outside speakers) for $9.98 each set. They were originally $39.99. I thought my MIL would like these for Christmas. She likes to entertain outside. Also took advantage of the 50% Halloween and stocked up on Ziplocks,Press n Seal, and napkins. Also found a Dora lunch bag 75% for $2.62. Checked on my hidden treasures, but they were not marked down to 75% yet. So I tucked them away and kept on bargain shopping. I did see a ton of Spiderman race tracks 75% for $12.??, but passed.

  7. Okay, not sure if this is the right thread, but I went to Target to get the Guiter Hero III for PS2 that was in this weeks sales ad. Both of my targets did not have this game and I was told they didn't think they would get anymore in due to "availablity" So I called around and all the Targets within a 30 mile radius are SOLD OUT:eyepoppin

    This was a bundle pack with an additional guiter. So I went to Circuit City and got theirs that came with a free guiter stand.

    They had all the GHIII for other games (WII,PS3,XBOX), but not PS2. So just a heads up if you are going to Target for this, it might be gone!

    Other than that nothin new at my Targets. They were getting all the Christmas stuff out though. We'll have to watch for all the halloween stuff to clearance to 50/75% soon, no room for all that Christmas stuff they were unpacking.

  8. My husband just retired from the Air Force and we moved back to So. Cal. We are 45 minutes away from the base, so sadly I will not be going there first. However, I would recommend it first, since they price match and usually have a great doorbuster. Enjoy!!:razz:
  9. :gdclap::gd_purple

    I have been watching a Family Fued (2nd edition) now for two freakin months. It's always marked 9.05 and I always scan, just in case. Never ever ever any different. Yesterday I didn't even bother with it, but today decided what the heck. It rang up 3.23! A completely random price but I was sooo happy!!! It completely made my day!

    EXCELLANT! Can't tell you how many times I've "hawkin" an item to go down. :yup:

  10. If you have a costco close by, they usually have a big package of 8 different character ornaments. You might want to try Dollar Tree or a 99 cent store, sometimes they surprise you with nice ornaments or character style things. Hope this helps. We get a new ornament every year, either from someplace we visited or to do with where we live (newly retired Air Force family).
