    Best 18V Drill deal?

My DH needs a new cordless drill. Is it worth it to try to get the Craftsman drill at 4am or are there better one to get?
  2. Started some of my Black Friday shopping before I went to bed on Wednesday Night. Ordered some items on-line from Amazon and Best Buy. Enjoyed Thanksgiving with family and once we had finished up our card games at midnight, headed out to WM to have them price match the Menards price for the Cricut Expression. I was surprised when we pulled into the WM parking lot the we had to park in an overflow area. The games were picked over by 12:20 but found 5 movies to buy, grabbed 2 crock pots and PM'ed the cricut. Went back home to sleep for an hour or so and got to Target around 3:30am. We have been getting there 30 minutes before opening for the last 3 years and have always been not very far back. This year was a different story, we were all the way back to the corner of store. By the time T opened the line curved and went all the way to the back of the Target store. DH went for 2 sets of the Big Bang Theory Seasons 1-3 and I went back to Electonics and got the garmin (thank everyone for the tip on the $30 cpn) and the Ipod 8gb for DS. Found the Lord of the Rings Trilogy for $7.99, Nerf dart gun, fleece pj bottoms and bedsheets. Check lines were a breeze ~ went through 3 times for the $10 gift card. Used a 5% off certificate and our Target CC for another 5% off. Left very happy! We then headed of to Kmart for DS Darth Vader clock, TRU for PS3 controller and the off to Sams Club for breakfast before going back home to sleep. Later that day DH went to Old Navy for some jeans for our DS. Overall had a good day!
  3. Husband and I found at Target that they were honoring the Lord of the Rings Bluray DVD error (whole trilogy for $7.99). We grabbed 1 and gave the other one to a lady who was picking all 3 individual movies (7.99 for each) up. Poor lady must of thought I was a little crazy at the beginning, I saw her grabbing all and call over to her to come over. She looked at me and said back "Me?" and I said come here and I explained to her she could get set for only $7.99. She was very happy. Later I heard her on her cell telling someone of the great deal she got!
  4. I had no problem last year with Target doing price adjustments on some toys from Walmart's ad. They just looked through the add to make sure the item was not a doorbuster.
  5. Our main items on our Black Friday list are a Blue ray player, a small LCD tv for the Kitchen and large Star Wars Lego sets. So far I've been disappointed not to find much other than the Blue ray. There are a number of things I like in Targets add that I typically don't think about buying on black Friday but not very excited by the 4 am opening. I really do not like the stores opening on Thursday and we have not shopped them. Eating and playing games are not something anyone in our family will give up to head out shopping.
  6. The Target we went to in Minneapolis last year handed out a map of where the hot ticket items would be located throughout the store. The map was really helpful and I hear they are doing the same thing this year.
  7. We got up at 4:30 and got to WM about 10 minutes before opening and were surprised that the line wasn't longer. When the doors opened at 5am, all of a sudden a lot of people came out of there cars and walked right into WM without a care for all of us who got in line. I know we are in Minnesota but it wasn't that cold! At that point it got really crazy, I went back to electonics and decided to just grab the KungFu Panda movie. My husband grabbed Meatballs for $2 and got my boys each a pair of jeans and checked out. Got in line at Target @ 5:30. Got everything we had on our list. Lego Star Wars Imperial Starship Kodak digital picture frame Batman Lego for DS Wii PJ's DVDs: The Holiday, Goodfellas, Goonies Initally and the 26" TV but decided it was an impulse buy and went to put it back where we picked it up. The spot was empty (in women clothing area) so my DH was dropping it off by the other tv's in electronics. A lady just joking asked my DH if he was looking to get rid of it and he said yeah. The lady was surprised with my DH answer and started asking him if there was anything wrong with it. Once he reassured her everything was ok, she was pretty happen to have ended up with it. Kudos to Target, they handed location maps out for a dozen or so popular items, didn't allow for any line jumping, had so many associates around to help us find whatever we were looking for. Was home and napping by 7am. Went back out at 10am for a nice quite 90 minute visit to Archivers.
  8. Our Target was was really crazy for all the Hefty bags and paper towels. I got there about 3 minutes after 8 and a there was a group who already had 3 carts full of paper towels, napkins, Hefty bags and gladware containers. I didn't realize someone could grab so much in so little time. There wasn't hardly any baking items and no Goldfish but my kids were happy that I got them some oreos. I bought a new storage container and filled it up with my great buys! Now to see what is left @ 75% off.
  9. Yesterday, I stopped by our Target on the way home from work and all the firepits had disappeared. I found a new grill cover for our grill 75% off and also bought a couple of pillows that had gone 75% off.
  10. Our Valentines stuff went 90% today but not much was left when I stopped by. The 500 ct bedding went to 75% today. I found a Queen set (for 18") but decided not to get it since it was White. It'd orig. price was $90 so still over $20. I bought some softsoap refills that were marked down from $4 to $2 plus I had $1 off target coupons that came in our paper this past weekend. I am awaiting our firepits to go to 75% to get one. We borrowed one for a couple of weeks last summer and our kids thought it was great. GB has really cleared out at 50% so there's not too much I would want when it goes 75%
  11. Eau Claire WI still 50% off, lady I know says 75% will most likely be Monday. I was price checking the christmas stickers in the scrapbook area to see if any were on clearance. it looks like everything is at 50% except the Jolee stickers.
  12. I got a mailing from JCP but mine was $10 off $25 not yhe $10 off $10. I used to get them all the time.
  13. I've gotten up early on Thanksgiving morning and bought SD cards and some other stuff I have wanted online at Circuit City. Last year they were out of a couple of items already by 6am CST where as 2 years ago I had no problem getting what I wanted. I guess more people are shopping online.
  14. At our Target on the 4th, they were marking all the basketballs on clearance down to 75% off. Got a nice one for my son for $6.25. The baseball stuff was all still full price. I also stocked up on hot dogs for the summer for 0.27 each.
  15. Our Target is a little quite on the clearence. It just seems that it goes very quickly once it hits 50%. But.......I did find one great deal. They had the mission oak chairs (2 to a box) down to $32.48 (original $130) Something I had been thinking about buying anyway!
  16. I Love these sales! One of our High School's does this the first weekend of December each year as a fundraisier for giving books to needy families. I always go and spend too much. This year I finished off the Lemony Snicket Series for our kids.
  17. I have had the same thing happen to me at Target. My husband used to work at Target and told me that it was the store policy to sell an item that ran up as 0.00 but had a clearance tag price for the price on the clearence tag.
  18. The school items at our WI store were still at 30% and put in an isle with other clearance items (ceiling fans, fake flowers) to make room for all the Halloween items. I was kind of hoping the flower stuff would have been 75% off but still only 50%. They had all the big inflateable pool items 75% off but didn't need any of that stuff. I bought a rocking folding chair for $7.49 (reg $30), some stationary type stuff and a couple of Nickelodeon crayola fun rolls (rang up $1.99 but still marked $5.58) @ 75%.
  19. I was reading your post and thought what a great deal but when I went through my Walgreen's ad I couldn't find it. I checked out the AR area ad at Walgreens.com and found the Advil ad was replaced in the MN/WI ad with a Chloraseptic Spray. I was bummed I couldn't get them for free. I decided to go Walgreens with my 2 coupons since .99 is still a good deal. Once at Walgreens, the the pharmacist said he didn't think he could accept a coupon for a controlled substance. I kindly got the assistant manager to accept the coupons. I had to work for this great deal!
  20. The SuperTaget in my hometown tried to go 75% off on Saturday, 12/31, but everything was ringing up only 50% off. Mgmt was told to put all the 50% signs back up and told everyone that to get the 75% off they had to go to a certain check out line where they had to make manual adjustments for each item purchased to take an additional % off. What a major pain! Next I headed to the toys area where they had some Playschool pirate sets in the 50% off area but had no markdown red tags on it. I happened to find a Target manager doing price checks a couple of isles over and she said that they were not on clearance but would give them to me at 50% off. :) I now have my youngest son's birthday present all picked out. I was so glad to tell my husband that I saved over $300!
