  2. It's $349 at Best Buy right now. I think until Sunday, as part of their black Friday preview.

Yes, I saw this, and I'm considering getting it from there, but I was going to try to get another $70 off applying for their rewards Visa (then cancelling it because who needs another credit card!).    I also think Amazon might be easier to deal with if I have to return or have questions.  Not sure though, haven't done much business with Best Buy.

  3. My 13 year old son wants the Oculus Rift.    Initially I said it was over budget, but he countered with - its the only present he will ask for, yada, yada, so will probably go with that.   I am hoping for a deal, but not expecting one.    Not that I want another CC, but I see you can get $75 off for getting a rewards card.

  4. With my immediate family, we open one at a time, rotating ring around the rosie style, so I can take pictures and see their reactions.   They gather them/pass them out before opening, so each kids is sitting with their own pile, just waiting inpatiently.  LOL

At my extended familys Christmas, there is no set order.   A couple kids usually volunteer to pass out all the presents,  then usually the adults sit and watch all the kids open theirs, and then they go.   Its pretty chaotic.   But fun!

  5. I have a son heading off to college next fall and thought I would maybe pick up some stuff this BF for him.  He will most likely be in an apartment with a roommate or two.   What are some great deals you've seen that he might need??    Only thing coming to mind is the rubbermaid food storage set walmart always has on sale.

  6. I find it hard to shop early because I don't know what the kids will want.    I could get a couple little things along the way, stocking stuffer stuff, but as far as big presents, I have to wait until they make a list!   And we draw names for my other family members, so I have to wait until we do that at Thanksgiving.   Its hard to see good deals, and have to pass them up!

  7. I was a little miffed when I saw this email and I have always scanned my receipts and like doing it this way.   But I decided to bite the bullet and try it their way, as I always pay with our debit card anyway.    It was really easy to add my card to the app, and actually super easy to pay at the checkout.   After I paid, the app asked if I wanted to send my reciept to savings catcher, I touched yes and I was done.       But I can see where people who pay with cash might be upset.   This kind of leaves them out.
