  1. I bought this printer for work about a year ago. I love it. There is an older guy at work that uses it for cassette labels, and he loves it too, even though he's not the most computer literate guy out there. Its very quick and very easy to use, no toner, and its simple to create a single label (unlike the 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of Avery labels that we used to use.)
  2. Question: I bought both the 700m and the 6000. I bought 2 512 SODIMMs from buy.com (the same deal that was posted here). I put the two 512's in the 700m, with hopes that I could put the 256 that was in the 700m in the 6000. This wouldn't work because the 6000 only accepts DDR2! So that sucks. Anybody know of any deals on DDR2 memory for the 6000?
  3. Well, look who decided to get out of bed! I couldn't get my bigbucks deal to stack for some reason. Oh well! Glad you got in on it.
  4. Just some personal experience: I just recieved my orders from the last $750 off $1500 deal. I ordered a 700m and a 6000. The 6000 seems to be a very solid computer. I ordered it with the 256mb of ram, and it is a little slow to boot up. I didn't want to do a complete reinstall of windows, so I went into msconfig and unchecked a bunch of startup items that didn't need to be there. It sure saved alot of time. Runs pretty well now. I already have more ram on the way, and I will end up with 512 in this machine. I got the middle of the road resolution screen, and I think that I could spend long hours without hurting my eyes typing on the 6000. The widescreen makes it seem large for a 15". The 700m I believe would get a little tedious to work on for hours on end. The design is nice and contemporary without being distracting. Its big compared to the 700m, so I dont know if I would want to lug it around with me on a daily basis (school, etc). I plan on ordering a few more 6000s, as a few people I know were interested last time the deal was on. I am going to spend a few extra bucks this time to get 512megs of ram, because the price savings isn't enough to justify having to order and install ram from buy.com. Just wanted to give my 2 cents!
